Frank screwed

  • Josh screwed too

  • @Crimsonorblue22 If Frank takes that steal down for one of his patented whirling-dervish layup-with-contact and-one’s, it would have been on SportsCenter’s top plays… Probably doesn’t beat LeBron’s 3 point shot with his foot out of bounds (thanks refs), but it would have been celebrated a bit more.

  • @brooksmd Maybe Frank’s right shin hit the guy’s right foot? Looks like the foot flopped out and back, but it’s a bit blurry.

Or maybe I’ve just been drinking.

  • Can we start a petition to get this idiot removed from Big-12 games?

  • @Crimsonorblue22

So many bad calls. The one on Josh is the one Fran said he was inside the arc and ESPN would not show a replay since it would have made Fran Look like the fool he is.

In this comment, Bruce does his usual throwing one of his players under the bus…

On Kamau Stokes shot selection at the end of the game… "He is a good 3-point shooter. He is one of our better percentages. He made big shots the other day. I think sometimes he has to depend on his teammates. Sometimes it is your shot, sometimes there is a better shot. I just do not think we made the better play or the extra pass to get the better shot. I think it goes back to the assists.

  • Josh’s 4th foul was just as bad. Absolute horrible calls.

The one on JJ at the Kitties end when he was called for a reach in was BS

I watched that in super-slo about 10 times. I think his shoulder may have barely grazed the other guy but they should have shown another angle.

Future sports feature: people have access to other camera feeds.

  • KU got screwed, not just Frank. We are going to lose a game due to a flop that the refs can’t or don’t correct. That’s as bad of a flop as I’ve seen in the Big 12 this year. It’s up to the other two refs on the court to correct the call. The problem on the 3 is that everyone is looking at the ball. The refs only see the shooter fall with peripheral vision. At least one ref must watch the shooter, not the ball and all refs need to be taught not to make a call just on a player falling. The ref must see the actual contact before blowing a whistle. We are lucky that flop didn’t cost us the game.

Does the Big 12 evaluate and grade refs after each game? The Big 12 must get rid of refs who fail to distinguish between a flop and a foul. Or, penalize players for flopping. Many thanks Crimson for finding the video. I watched it during last night’s commercial break and I knew ESPN wouldn’t show the non-foul again.

  • @BeddieKU23 Thank you. I am so sick and tired of this ass kissing Iowa State lover. Then all we hear last night was about SVI’s travel , and yes I’ll admit he did travel but I mean man come on yuck it up over and over, then he sits there last night and says SVI traveled again. He said this more then once last night, I agree with you, can we please ger rid of this idiot. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • @JayHawkFanToo I LOVED THIS, He did this a couple of times that I saw. Probably just me, but I think this right here is one of a very few times when I have seen Frank get a little sparky with the fans - - love it. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • @KUSTEVE See what I don’t understand is, and being a former official I do remember this , each official has certain arera’s of the floor where that’s their area to call, so my question is how the hell one makes a call from all away across the opposite side of the court and then official right there makes NO CALL. totally out of their area of responsibility, several several missed or wrong calls. Multiple times Frank got mugged, and nothing, Josh gets called for a foul when he is sprawled on the floor with K-State player. Whaaaaaa?

In that case ya a lot of people think when you have players down on the floor there HAS to be a call - -thing is in this case, there was no ball control, if there is no ball control by a team then you can’t make a call. - -The K-State player had no ball control when they called that foul on Josh, still loose. The foul called late against Devonte with Williams was a joke

But yet we will hear just like always, that KU pays the officials off, how the hell can we pay them off when we are in your barn? - -Are we paying them off when you only have 4 fouls in the entire first half? - - Are we paying them off when with like ten minutes to go in the game you have ONE foul and only six for the entire game? We were --up six fouls to ONE with ten minutes to go in the second half. and seventeen to six for the game - -but yet we pay off the officials, we were getting mugged, made me feel I was in the Bronx. – -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • @Crimsonorblue22 DID you also happen to hear this moron MORE then once say well they have shared the conference title like four times in this run SOOO it’s not like they have won it outright - -what a piece of work - - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • That call and some of the others mentioned here were tied for the lead with the worst calls of the night with the play when Bragg ended up on the ground with a loose ball, got mutilated, violated, mugged, accosted, mauled, tortured, beat, whipped and cannibalized. Of course the official standing right on top of it called it a jump ball. Of course.

Yeah, KSU outhustled KU on that play…effen Bruce.

  • @Crimsonorblue22 My additional reply to Crimson’s video of the non-foul is it’s a great example or our dismal three point defense. Frank is in the lane when the shooter gets the ball and the best he can do to defend the wide open 3 is to run 20 feet with his hand in the air and pass by the shooter. Really, our defense is just to hope the opponent misses the 3. But, I State showed us that defense won’t always work.

  • @Crimsonorblue22 Thanks for your great video highlights. Frank is a super hero on these two plays. Just amazing. He is literally superman as he flies past the baseline, then returns for the steal. We are blessed to enjoy his special skills.

  • Yeah we almost got Higgins’d pretty hard last night.

  • @Crimsonorblue22 what an idiot, I thought KSU got every call they could. I guess we here at buckets we can make a participation trophy and send it to Weber.

  • @kjayhawks

It will be made out of purple fabric and stuffed with corn.

  • @BShark how about full of💩

  • @brooksmd

…with the caption…How do you like them apples…😄

  • College refs are at times just overmatched and are left guessing, particularly with a guy like Josh that is so quick, long and athletic. They aren’t used to seeing a guy like that. On that block/charge call, Josh started out well inside the arc. Both feet inside, moving away from the play.

In an instant, JJ changed his momentum, got his feet outside the arc and got set. If any of us tried to do what Josh did in that instant, we would likely fall down, get hurt, or both. I just happens too quick for the official to see that JJ got there in time. He assumes that he can’t because there aren’t half a dozen guys in all of college basketball that could have done that.

  • @brooksmd

I’m surprised Landen didn’t get called for a “pecker foul!”

  • What we have to realize is that these calls are not going to go our way on the road. Is it so different for other teams on the road? Doubtful.

We just have to do what we did last night… suck it up and keep playing hard. Adjust to the garbage officiating and continue on for the win.

We proved last night that we can still leave a farmer barn with a win… even if we have to play against the refs, too… and the fans… and a few sheep.

I think it is hilarious that Bruce thinks they “kicked our butts.”

We will take that kind of butt-kicking anytime. I hope we get our butts kicked 6 times in March!

    What a joker.
