Speaking of buyouts Brian Kelly will get $54 million to not coach LSU. Man if I was in College coaching my goal would be to have 1 good season and get a huge buyout, set for life afterwards. Not sure why anyone at LSU thought that would work. If you can’t win championships at ND against a cake walk ACC schedule and all of their resources, how the hell are you going to in the SEC? Was as stupid as us hiring Weis.

@BeddieKU23 That road record is so not in our DNA until recently. Did something just change in D1? I know the glaring change is the portal. Maybe portal players just don’t have the same level of commitment to Kansas. Level of commitment is definitely relative to road play. Otherwise… I always look at coaching to explain extended situations… but I really have a hard time thinking Self can’t adapt and lift us out of this. @Zabudda Sounds logical. But is sports logical anymore? And now we are discovering how many players are getting paid to rig games. I’m not saying KU guys do this… I’m just saying the game has become so unpredictable. I use to do much better in picking winners and now I might as well flip a coin. And so for my analogy… there are no more Pete Roses left in sports. Guys that will slide face first and eat dirt. Ha… I’ve turned to sarcasm because I have ZERO answers for anything anymore. This team might end up a 500 team, breaking Self’s record for March Madness… or they might bring home a trophy. It’s not just them that are completely unpredictable… so are the other 362 teams.

@Jhawk69 I guess I was just hopeful that he would be able to be some kind of offensive threat. Either in transition or with the ability to drive to the rim. But so far he’s really not done a lot. He had 11 in that Louisville game, but 9 were free throws. He’s made 4 baskets in 66 minutes of playing time. I figured he would be better than that… At the same time, none of the guards on the bench are doing much thus far. He may be the best of the bunch. At least he can defend and knows his role on this team I think.

I think at this point if it was released we have been involved in a gambling scandal dating back the last few years in football. I would a 110% buy it without thinking twice.

So who’s red shirting this year? I saw somewhere that the KC kid Allen? I wonder if Samis is a candidate.

ISU looked pretty ordinary against Northwestern. Cam Boozer who looks at least 6-10 was out of this world against Tennessee with amazing court vision and passing along with great lower body strength.

And Udeh has been a bit of a disappointment himself. Will be interesting to see how he fairs at Miami this season

Even the walk ons looked good. I’m pretty stoked about the freshmen and Flory. Can’t wait to see how they match up against NC friday. TOTALLY different feel than last couple years speed wise. Rock Chalk!

@SlimShaddy54 Yeah “could be wrong” is my current go to. Have the same issue as wissox with Locked On, because despite talking all sorts of advanced stats, it doesn’t seem like true analysis a lot of the time. But they are stats I don’t usually think about so can get me thinking differently sometimes.
