  @kjayhawks KU makes considerably more money playing at the Sprint Center in KC than at the Intrust in Wichita, easier logistics and the KU fan base is much larger as well.

  @KUSTEVE Self will continue to improve, as long as he stays as creative and driven as he appears to have been the last ten years. in 2008, and 2012, he did not seem to have trouble tightening his team up. I am skeptical that from 2013 to 2017 he lost his ability to keep his teams loose. I worry less about Bill unintentionally tightening the team and much more about: a.) injuries and fatigued starters from too many minutes played because of the apparent embargo’s resulting lack of depth; b.) the apparent asymmetric path engineering taking its toll by the Elite Eight; and c.) the apparent asymmetric whistles. I believe apparent asymmetric whistles are perhaps the key triggers of tightness. When a KU team comes on the floor and has to expect asymmetric whistles, it apparently gets tight. The reason for the tightness appears to me to be related to not being able to predict how the asymmetric whistle will be blown. Where and when will the calls come and what will be the contact threshold at which they are blown. Its apparently a great disadvantage.

  @JayHawkFanToo I know he was. I just don’t think that he wants to again. He learned there is no job security and it isn’t a very cushy gig. At least, that is my thoughts. But, I could see a scenario where he wants to do both. That does make sense.

  At 32 years old, Chris Paul is getting old when compared to the average NBA age of 25-26. He probably has one 4 year contract left in him before his value drop drastically.

  @BeddieKU23 I agree with @mayjay that with the right group around him, yes, he was worth it. This draft class was very good, but the downside is that there wasn’t one absolute franchise carrying player in the group. There wasn’t a Lebron or Durant or someone on that level. There were a lot of guys just a notch below - but none that were on that elite level. Because of that, every draftee is going to be successful, depending on the situation. If Fultz, or Jackson or anyone else in the lottery. Justin Patton, for instance, could end up being very successful by teaming with a team that won’t put a ton of pressure on him, but will still get him playing time to develop in Minnesota. Jayson Tatum might struggle to find minutes on the Celtics. Injuries could derail anyone. If the Lakers build around Ball correctly (shooters, an elite scorer and a good rolling big - Paul George, DeAndre Jordan and JJ Redick could work in those roles) he will succeed because his best skill is passing. If the Lakers try to turn him into John Wall or Isaiah Thomas, he will fail because he’s not a primary scorer.

  @ParisHawk Man, that quote packed POWER! I have not been much of an NBA follower, and esp. not a Kings fan (but for an eye on Ben Mac). But if their staff does right by Mason I plan to focus much more than usual on that program. Although lottery pick Fox was coming off an injury he certainly did not outshine Frank last year when the Jayhawks won in Lexington.

  @chriz "we have elite eight talent. Not sure we have final four talent (I guess that’s what I mean by elite). " We don’t even have elite 8 talent. The only reason we get that far is Self. Cal would be out the first round and never win an SEC title with our guys.

  KU is an elite program. So sad some fans think the men players should be perfect. OH GOD if they aren’t then they are cursed for life. Hey we fans know. So Players if you do wrong at KU just give up. Quit? You have no chance. Because some of our KU fans know. Don’t fight it, just accept it. They are experts on what is acceptable and not acceptable. So making a sales pitch to high school women looking for a college basketball career. Come to KU. No really. As some our fans believe that you can come do what ever you want without punishment. You can spit in a persons face. Slam a drink in someone’s face. Hell punch a man in his face and your Golden. If a KU man so much gets angry at any of these actions. Then he has the problem and shows a lack of character of a good law abiding citizen. So come ladies and play basketball and abuse KU men. Our fans will back your actions.
