This team has a lot that they can build on will be interesting to see how we fair against the BYUs and Houston la of the conference once we get more time playing together.

I don’t get this at all. Missing a center? Flory plays next to the rim the whole game. He scores almost at will, just punished Dukes bigs, plays nice defense, rebounds could improve a bit, but I have no clue why you think we’re missing a true center.

Focus on the next. Beating ND would be our first win of the season against a P5 type team. They should beat them I believe, but without DP (?) we’ll need to play well with energy like we did last night.

Flory is fine but we need another one to back him up, see the game when he left the floor. Flory is good but has a lot to learn, see UNC game of him getting destroyed defensively. We needed to get a Tarik Black type guy in the portal IMO.

My son insisted we watch the whole game lol so we did. I was ready to call it in but with about 5 minutes to go once they pulled back away.

@SlimShaddy54 kohl will be great in a few years for sure, just hope he’s still here in that time frame.

Ya my inside sources say he never plays again for Kansas again. Hes much more worried about the draft. Makes sense to me if it was a hamstring issue that was serious they announce it so he doesn’t look bad. That and if was a grade 1 sprain they shut him down for a month not have him come back and forth while showing no signs of discomfort.

After watching the second half, I’ll say again Kohl should come off the bench once DP returns

What are the odds that DP doesn’t play another game for Kansas? Hes got his NIL cash now and can just hang until the draft in theory

@mayjay Hall is a big upgrade imo from Pop, he averages almost a yard more per carry and actually has some long runs. I think the chiefs are better up front than the jets by a fair margin. In terms of the draft, it depends on whom they draft. Sky Moore was a laughable pick as was CEH and Felix. We wasted two first round picks on guys that everyone with brain were low on.

@bskeet definitely didn’t help any because they was scared to run anyone but Hunt. I still think they were stupid for not giving a 3rd round pick for Hall. They need a guy with big play capability. Hunt and Pop have combined for 1 rush for more than 20 yards this season. Sorry but that is pathetic, it’s also pathetic Chris Jones is the highest paid defensive lineman in the NFL and grades out in the mid 60s. Trade him for a couple of younger guy with the Hall trade and this team hasn’t lost since.

I see one of two things happening here, the team folds and only wins a few more games this season. Or the team goes on a run starting next week and Mahomes wins MVP again and the chiefs make the playoffs.

@nuleafjhawk the chiefs put up more passing yards than the broncos average giving up. Just no idea why they out right refuse to run the ball in any capacity.

KU football is consistently winning 5 games a year…. What did it cost? Me looks at the chiefs and KU basketball….everything lol

@Jhawk69 yep like KUs defense on Saturday’s giving up multiple 3rd and 8 plus yards. The defense line is garbage.

@Jhawk69 play calling was laughable, no idea why they didn’t try to run the ball more especially up with 4 minutes to go.

I put this on Veach, had opportunities before the trade deadline and did nothing. This team isn’t great by any stretch of imagination. They are just average, pending on the rest of the year they maybe be able to squeak into the playoffs. But that was nail in the coffin for the division. 9 years in a row is tough to do, just like KUs 14 straight. It was great but can’t last forever

@FarmerJayhawk listened to post game and it sounds like Dp is unlikely to play Tuesday. I honestly think the only reason they left us ranked is so it’s a feather in Dooks cap. Unfortunately I don’t give us much of chance, 25+ point loss without DP and a 15 point loss with him. We are athletic but dint know how to play basketball, Dook can do both.

@SlimShaddy54 KSU was preseason top 20, the trendy pick for B12 champions and had Johnson as a heisman hopeful. I don’t think anyone had Kansas winning more than 7 or 8 games. Our season has been disappointing with losing to our rivals and giving away 2 games in the final minute but not the same as theirs.

KSU escapes Stillwater 14-6 , they really did play their best game far and away in Lawrence

Volleyball avenged a five set loss in Lawrence by sweeping the Mildcats in Methattan.

Border order!! The ladies just beat Fizzou in the T-Mobile center 82-77 to improve to 4-0 on their season. I don’t care if it’s debate or equestrian beating them clowns in anything makes me happy.

Ngala seems to be a better player than Mari and Elmarko at this point wish he would get a few more minutes.

The game went about how I figured it would. Flory needs to play hard all the time not just in little spurts. Is Elmarko Jackson the worst 5 star player in recorded history? How the hell was he a top 20 recruit. He showed flashes as a freshman but good god he looks lost as a player can be on both ends.

@drgnslayr lots of rumors flying around right now, which is normal when stuff like this happens. Hearing his team is saying it’s not worth it for him to play in these type of games.

Stinks I was considering going my myself with how cheap tickets looked. This is starting to take a very interesting turn here. Self said he hasn’t practiced this week at all and is still tight. Is he just gonna play in the high profile games and sit the rest of the time? Two weeks in and the season seems F’d already

@BeddieKU23 I still think we can grow into a solid team, we just have a long ways to go but heck the last few. years we beat a lot of high profile teams early because we were already what we were. While the others had a much higher ceiling

@BeddieKU23 hard to think otherwise watching us and Dook at this point. With Dp it’s likely a 10-15 point loss without him it’s 25 plus IMO.

@Kcmatt7 interesting, I’m hoping he’s the clear cut one by the end of the season which would in turn mean we had a pretty good year.

@Kcmatt7 we’ll see how it goes here but I’d rank him As about the 6th best player right now. Most of the mock drafts I’ve seen haven’t been updated since play started. It will stink if he goes number 2 and we do nothing with him. That much I know lol

Shades of late career Eric Berry. This is concerning.

DP isn’t getting picked top 5 regardless of his injury issues. This freshman class is very stout. I’d guess he goes 8-12 at this point. He’s definitely not the best freshman in CBB this year.

Mark me as scared that the dook game will resemble the 2014 UK game especially without DP.
