This might be the first game where KU has exceeded the predicted Kenpom margin. Maybe Marquette too I don’t remember for sure.

So, about the theory that we will live or die on 3 pt shooting… Tonight, I’m leaning to the “preventing a basket is just as good as making one” but if Wofford had made more of their many 2nd chance opportunities, that theory wouldn’t hold much water.

I told you we would see a better 3 point defense. Wofford shot 5 -26 from 3 or 19.2% and a couple of those came in garbage time.

In regards to Grimes, it was about this time of year the light came on for Kelly Oubre as well. Hopefully that’s what this was for Grimes.

Better BB instincts, I think, is the reason. Both seem slow (maybe ponderous is a better word), but Perry always seemed to be figuring out where to move and telegraphed it all the time. DL just seems to have a great sense of how to move.

@mayjay We looked like a real basketball team the 2nd half. A dominating, elite team with great passing and driving skills. Work of art. This wasn’t Vick shooting 60% from 3 to bail us out- this was a sustained ass kicking to the tune of 25-0. This is what I’ve been waiting to see.

for my take in this games – I think to me 3 things stuck out : - - #1 - - -Devon Dotson - -he was there when things we NOT going good , - -# 2 - - Marcus , the guy deserves some props - -ya sure has ugly shot - BUT on the defensive in the kid is a stud , quick hands pesky does a real good job - -got like 7-8 rebounds on top of that - -& #3 - - Seeing Quentin finally starting to show signs of coming out of this really bad slump.
The biggest concern of Course -is Doke - -they said high ankle sprain - -not good - -and we have Villanova coming in less then two weeks. - -we were getting our butt beat on the boards finally evened out some but mercy - -they were getting every dam rebound for awhile. - -ROCK CHALK AL DAY LONG BABY

Post game just said why Dave doesn’t play more yet, he’s still out of control too much to leave out there for long stretches. Once the game slows down for him, he’ll be fine and see a major upswing in minutes.
