Kansas vs West Virginia
-
@DanR Mick couldn’t handle Williams, who scored over him their first 2 possessions and hasn’t scored since Mick sat.
-
KU was not in good enough cardio shape for this.
WVU doesn’t even look tired.
-
guards need to locate their heads at halftime. I know where they should look.
-
WVU is +4 on the glass and +5 on offensive boards last I looked, that’s a big part of their lead as well.
-
keeep bricking svi. your good at it
-
@KUSTEVE Hey, watch your language…
-
They have 10 ORBs to our 3. JT cannot handle Williams down low.
-
Svi Brickailiuk.

Svi has got to make some shots!
If I hear about his “potential” the rest of the season, I will have to fight the urge to vomit. What in creation leads anyone to think this guy would be drafted this year?
-
Put Lucas in . Mari can’t get it done tonight
-
@jaybate-1.0 he’s only put up 3 of those possession killer bricks so far.
-
KU’s head isn’t in the game. Someone needs to show some heart. They can’t get a stop without fouling.
-
@RockkChalkk have to be able to play without fouling.
-
we need some work on transition …
-
its hard to show heart when your PG and SG are on a personal suicide mission
-
@Khubar_Jayhawk You don’t think fouls affect the way you play? You think a player with no fouls plays the same as he would with 2?
-
Jam is dominating but he is buying Landen some down time for the second half
-
Giving up so many points at the line it is sickening. QUIT FOULING
-
Isnt
-
so kicking the ball is okay now. i thought so???
-
This game is baaaaad
-
if i could personally sit mason i would. but we have a coach for that dont we
-
Every bounce and every call is going against KU
-
he kicked the damn ball…
-
Unbelievable. Coach needs to settle them down. Embarrassing
-
They’ve gotten into our heads.
-
WVU 's guards are very fast
-
KU is playing like garbage right now. Getting owned on the glass, making dumb/bad passes, taking bad shots.
How’s KU going to respond in the 2nd half to getting kicked in their balls the 1st half?
-
@KUSTEVE said:
how many f*cking times are we going to hear “they’re not intimidated”…
Or the new buzzword for Fran, deflection?
-
not in west virginia. thats not kicking.
-
10 will be very tough to over come.
Great big giant Trey!!!
-
Good way to end the half
-
Gotta love Huggy…
-
bellichek of college b
-
Hugs has a Bob Knight sized presence. Maybe even bigger!
-
Diallo played well is his minute. Good D on Williams, ran the floor well, got a steal and a good foul.
-
I bet Diallo gets more minutes second half.
-
might have had a dunk had mason realized hes got teammates
-
WVU shot 20 free throws in the first half. Coach needs to tell them to move their feet.
-
KU didn’t come ready to play.
-
WVU drives to the hoop. only way to stop it is zone
-
@DoubleDD i don’t agree. i think we’ll come back 2nd half.
-
I say lets give WVU a taste of their own medicine… Lets pressure the their offense. That way they can’t rest offense.
-
I didn’t say the game was over. I just said KU didn’t show up for that first half.
-
@BeddieKU23 yes, that is their offense. Self needs to be flexible and zone them
-
@DoubleDD Oh I so badly wish we would press more. Not as crazy as WVU but a soft press. Self always uses it early in the season, it works, then puts it on the shelf for the rest of the year. Don’t understand it.
-
but he’s not flexible. we know this. without a shot blocker in there they will do the same in the 2nd half.
-
Self should start Ellis and Diallo on both low blocks and play through them both for ten straight possessions. No treys. No drives. No fast breaks. Just back to basket and stick back. They could foul up WVU, get back in the lead, and then shoot treys to separate.
-
@Bill-Self We’re gettin’ it on all right. They better pull their heads out and stop playing tight sloppy ball. Huggins has nothing to lose except the game. They play like it too. KU plays tight and sloppy when they get that stupid #1 ranking.
-
@DinarHawk Yes, there seems to be a lot of complaining about the refs - in this game and others. But, the problem is not with the refs, its how we are playing defense - or not. We consistently allow too many open lanes into the paint and to the rim and then reach or slap f up high. Note the contrast when Frank or DG are penetrating - they are collapsing and closing off the circle area around the rim. They are not a good outside shooting team - we should be forcing them to make outside shots. Notwithstanding 1st half numbers, I’ll take our guys from 3 over theirs any day.
The “highlight” they just showed at the break is indicative…
