I’ve never said KU would be worse offensively next season did I? Self is over correcting for how bad the offense was last season and has recruited a bunch of transfers who suck on defense almost or as much as Hunter trying to get some more offense. KU probably wins a couple of more games and loses a couple of less games than last season, but it’s going to be a different set of problems next season because of how bad defensively this team will be.

I’ve never said offense didn’t matter, but since you want to continously make shit up, you keep doing that. All I’ve been saying is that defense is the more important end of the court in determining who is a championship caliber team. If KU’s defense is as shitty as it appears to be on paper, then KU’s chances of making the Final Four next season are very slim. Alabama making the Final Four last year with their defense was a fluke, not a model. Teams with that profile tend to end up like Kentucky more often than not, not Alabama.

Exactly…kid came in a late bloomer who ended up around top 50…left with a green room invite and will be a top 20 pick. Good stuff to pitch to AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson

Intrigued by what role Robinson would have here.
Fills a definite need- made 142 3’s at just under 35% in the last two seasons at BYU.
I know it was 1 game but man did he not look like one of the best players on the floor when they beat us in Allen behind his 18 pts.

I also expect Bill to look to fill the last spot. Rumblings of a visitor (not Jaxson) Mon/Tue.

Definitely not a stat stuffer but he can shoot the rock and is a confident playmaker. I think this certainly gives Self a proven scorer in the rotation and good positional size to switch on the wing/4. You can go 4 out with him which just seems to be something they should have in their arsenal as an alternative look to the 2 bigs. I’m not getting my hopes up here but man I like this add if it happens

Seems easy to imagine that we will have enough talent to settle on a solid 8 man rotation by March

@rockchalkjayhawk hes a 1 year rental. We know what we are getting, and it wouldnt matter if this was his second school. Same outcome. So Im cool with it. I get your point about persona, but you can check in with 3 other coaches and get a pretty good idea of whether the kid will handle it well.

If we get Robinson the 8 man lineup will be top 1-3 in the country. Now gotta see Bill adjust his scheme to the players and capitalize.
D2 - Zeke - Griffen - Storr - KJ - Hunter - Robinson….8th spot can be up for grabs with Kease, Elmarko or maybe a big getting some spot minutes

Gonna be interesting ? nice to have some depth for spot minutes.–I think we can see probably Kease , Flory & El Marko for spot minutes. -I feel pretty sur your gonna see Flory get spot minutes to give Hunter a blow. Will miss the scoring in those minutes but his rim protection & Rebounding will help during those spot minute time…

We know Juan/KJ/HD are not NBA guys. Zeke really isn’t either. So the hope would be Rylan/Storr and develop into that. I think Rakease has the potential but this year no. Flory is not an NBA guy unless the jump shot really comes along.

The names on various 2025 mocks are Rylan Griffen as a potential mid first round pick, I saw Flory’s name on one as a late 1st round pick, and AJ Storr as a mid second round pick. There is some NBA potential on this roster according to guys who do mock drafts.

You need AJ to become one of the GUYS in college basketball. I think Rylan is a good second alternative for a potential pro.
Rakease is a potential pro in 3 years imo. Flory will get a shot if the defensive ability is real. That’s about it
