Apparently Joshua Shulman, the writer of the article that I lifted the segment from, is not clued in…
Again, if Tyson is a lock for cal, it’s odd that he’s waiting.

@Bosthawk yeah, I used to write there. It’s kind of a crapshoot. Gone downhill since it was Evan Riggs, Ryan Noel, and myself for a hot second. I doubt KU will take anyone that needs a waiver. Maaaaaybe if we whiff on Mgbako and just need a body.

Udeh needs to be working on his post moves and push Dickerson down to the bench sitting on his millions of bucks. Billy wants to win more than stroke egos.

Could we see instances where Udeh is on the court at the same time as Dickenson? Everyone is just assuming Dickenson is a 5 only but with his ability to shoot outside i could imagine times in certain situations/matchups where they could both be out there.

Maybe its just wishful thinking but part if me thinks we could recruit portal under the assumption that mccullar is gone then once everyone is signed, surprise, a “shocking and sudden change if heart” he decides to come back and fill the last roster spot. Like it was preplanned all along to stack the roster as much as possible for a chip. Ha

one thing of note: Dickinson averaged about 60 3 pt attempts over the last two seasons. That’s not very many. So, i wouldn’t expect him to have the freedom to launch the 200+ that guards/wings take.
Grady and Wilson were over 200 attempts for KU last year. Joe and Dajuan 70+.
I’d guess he’d be about the same in Self’s system. maybe even less?

Maybe in 2008 when a lot of teams played two bigs. Now that line-up can’t defend well enough.

Sorry , but had to chuckle when I seen this just a lil bit. Saw on the Indiana boards there was a pic of Mgbako in Indiana gear, but that is not what I found some what funny, they had him have a pic with him holding TWO CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHIES. - -lol I’m sorry i apologize just found that funny , like that is their Ace in the hole in the recruitment of Mackenzie.
Made me think DAM if that’s suppose to be their trump card. - — what the hell would Mackenzie do trying to hold our SEVENTEEN CONFERENCE TROPHIES & our National NCAA title trophies lmao. poor kid wouldn’t stand a chance. Another postre was playing it up saying looked like Mgbako wasn’t enjoying his visit to KU because he wasn’t smiling in the pictures taken with him hile he was at KU lol – holy crap they are Reaching.
They also made the statment that NIL was killing the game ans that Dickinson was getting 4 million for one year coming to Kansas. Isn’t it 4 million for two years ?

That’s not great. Seems like he’s got a ton of ties to Louisville.
The positive is that from what I’ve read here and there, it seems his team wants him to take his time and not just commit before taking in the view,

His Coach that Originally got him to commit to Duke is now at Louisville. - So we wit , it’s ok would love to have him , yet if it turns out he goes elsewhere with Coach Self we are gonna be fine. – I’m sure he will still find us that quality shooter and that3/4 guy

Well I’m glad you are confident. I am too actually , whether it sounds like it or not , whether it looks like it or not I am still confident also. All I said was that if ew do get him would be sweet, but if not we will be fine with Coach Self, we would still get a quality scorer/shooter & that 3/4 guy as long as Coach is here - -we fine.
Also I just said the Coach that originally go him to commit to Duke was now at Louisville , no one can challenge that , doesn’t mean we won’t still land him. - Seems to me another recruit ew just landed pretty big one too seems like another School had a formre Coach of his too. Doesn’t seem like it helped them land him either. Either way w are gonna be fine IF he dos go somewhere else & I still think he comes here, so your right will be fn to sit bak and watch

Well got to say have learned at least ONE thing with this whole new NIl /portal type of transferring. That is and it really doesn’t determine the out come but thing is with a recruit - -Doesn’t matter what fan base you read or hear about and that is – Their School is going to get that commit lo.
I guess from reading Louisville boards an inside says that all he was going to say was that the staff felt really good about getting Mgbako, and if they get him on Campus - -It’s OVER lol.
Isn’t the same kind o talk we hear from every fan base? - Isn’t Indiana saying they feel good about their chances ? - -Hell isn’t there a lot of Kansas fans think he is ours. and there isn’t nothing wrong with that, thinking positive about that. Evey School has that right. - -Yet the bottom line no matter how good the fan base feels only Mackenzie knows for sure , no matter what insides say… It’s actually fun to follow other boards keeping up on the latest from their point of view, nd yes Louisville feeling really good about their chances - - Maybe s , we shall see. I’ll tell you this , from reading other teams sites there are a lot of people who are afraid of Coach Self. - I mean that in a way is with his history - -HOF Coach an always having KU in upper echleon constantly top 3 seeds at the least in tourney , and just his overall history in recruiting and developing players.–Louisville is one of those who are. - -Gonna be an interesting week.–I will say I’m quite sure his decision will be pretty quik after he finishes his visit with Louisille. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Floating around that Kansas is one of a handful of schools consistently delivering on NIL promises.
Heard something from an assistant on another staff that isn’t fit to air but the gist of it is no one should be wanting to bid against Bill Self right now.

Coming back to a loaded high profile KU team and knowing he will make fat NIL $ is significant…

A two way contract pays a little over $1 million per year, Kevin isn’t making that much in NIL if he comes back. He’s in the draft range where a two way deal seems the most likely outcome for him.
