That certainly wasn’t pretty for either team. Defense! The perfect Self game?
I never really felt that TCU was a real threat tonight. Wasn’t really sweating it, despite the score.
The challenge was simply being able to make a basket or two. Lid was closed for Jalen tonight. He was even forcing it a lot (offensive charge).
A bit surprising we won if you look at the individual play in the boxscore. If we win, and Jalen only has 7, i sure expect to see Dajuan with 12 or so. not tonight. I guess Kevin came through as our secondary scorer behind Gradey.
I only look at boxscores from KU games, so hard to say how sustainable it will be playing only 6 guys in double digit minutes. TCU played 8 guys in double digit minutes. Do other teams only play just 6 guys, too? Jalen sure didn’t seem himself. Tired?
Way to go Hawks. We’re still in the race for first place! Rock Chalk!

Fran actually talked about this during the game. KU is near the bottom nationally in bench minutes played and TCU is near the top nationally in bench minutes played.

@rockchalkjayhawk remember, tv Timeouts in the tournament are longer, bench minutes are mostly useful for foul situations not fatigue.

I thought(hoped) the NCAA had outlawed props behind the basket because we haven’t seen those for awhile. The best was the gorilla at OU. The second best was the person behind the shower curtain that I think was AZ St. But, I think its poor sportsmanship because where do you draw the line? Lazers, etc. KU sure missed FTs at the end that could have cost us the game.

Ernest Udeh now has the KU record for consecutive field goals made without a miss, multiple games. He’s now at 20 straight FG’s without a miss. He is tied right now for the Big-12 record. Crazy!

Last night was pretty mild for Fran or I was really good at tuning him out. I didn’t see anyone covering this yet but it’s a pretty cool achievement. It gives me a lot of hope that Udeh is going to be a lot like Doke with his efficiency in future years.

Thinking about the Chiefs and Kelce… seems like everything bothered them and gave them chip. I think they went looking for drama to help them build a chip. Hey… it worked!
