Portal approaching 1200.
Notable names- Marcus Williams (Texas A&M), Al-Amir Dawes (Clemson), Dre Davis (Louisville), Frank Kepnang (Oregon), the Saint Peters trio of Doug Edert, Matthew Lee, Daryl Banks, Noah Locke (Louisville),
Several of those guys I’d be happy with on our bench. Still waiting for a starter. Noah Locke would really be an awesome bench piece.
-
-
he played well against KU but I didn’t get the feeling he could play at this level. Should land somewhere bigger though
-
@BeddieKU23 Dude scores. I think it could work if he was willing to take a bench role.
The waiting is killing me, gotta see who starts being linked to KU lol.
-
We should start seeing some movement after guys announce they’re leaving, probably next week sometime. 90% sure Cuffe and Cam are transferring. KJ and Jalen are on the fence. Braun likely gone. Bobby, Juan, Yes, and Zach are staying.
-
@FarmerJayhawk I’ve heard some better news on the KJ front recently but might just be post natty high.

Probably a little better than JCL. Idk if he’d start here but would be a nice piece.
-
Sniffed around a bit. #Backchannelling
-
-
I think we could live with a confident shooter off the bench. Remy/JCL like
-
Well not sure if this kid has been mentioned or not - - just read this this morning. Anyways sounds pretty sweet ;
Isiaih Mosley a 6’5 Guard from Missouri St has been talk about him might be wanting to possibly come to KU.
6"5 Guard good friends Of Christan Braun & Juan Harris ( was former team mate of Juan’s at Rockridge ). 19.8 scoring avg ( 4th Nationally in Scoring ) - - 84.7 ft % - -( 7th ) Nationally - 50 % fg % - % 42.7 % 3pt % - multiple 30 pt games & scored 40 also.
Sayig might test NBA waters but if not or decides to come back then interested in KU - -would be one to watch
-
Wow! Those are some good numbers. 6’5 gaurd that can score? Sign me up
-
He’s really good. Legit scorer. Had 28 in their first round loss to Oklahoma in the NIT
-
4-Star PF Bryce Hopkins in the portal from Kentucky. Former top 40 recruit didn’t get a lot of run this past season. Unofficial’d to KU before.
-
Pack visiting Purdue today. Believe someone on here posted that was his likely destination back in late March.
-
Was told to keep it for the most part under my hat, but now the cat’s out of the bag (holy bad mixed metaphor Batman) Mosley wants KU if he goes back to college, which is likely. Haven’t heard anything real from KU’s end yet though.
-
@FarmerJayhawk To have a consistent metaphor, the cat would now be out of the hat, but that would upset Dr. Seuss fans.

HI
2 to play. Was a lot more efficient last year than previously https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/jahmir-young-1.html
-
@FarmerJayhawk I think someone (we know who) leaves if we take another small guard. Maybe not but I was told there could be some interest in adding another small guard as well.
-
@BShark it makes sense. There’s really nobody right now who’s replacing Remy. More competition is good.

Agree. Small guard, big guard (Mosley plzzz), a 4 if JWill leaves. A beast 5 would be a luxury add and personally I don’t see it but some people on 247 and twitter really hope we do it.
-
Betting that we take in 3-4 transfers. Probably 1-2 will just be practice guys.

Just throwing this out into the ether - Kofi isn’t on a single mock draft anywhere. Obvious mutual interest. Drop a bag and make it happen.
-
@Kcmatt7 No more Dave in the way now! PRAYGE
-
Just looking at the list (https://evanmiya.com/), most of the top ranked guys don’t make a lot of sense. Shannon clearly does as a replacement for Och/Braun/Wilson. Gaines also might since he’s an absolute lockdown defender. Could be a nice backup to Juan if Bobby doesn’t quite step up like we hope. Landers Nolley makes some sense. Seems like he never found a role at Memphis and a fresh start under a good coach would do him some good. 2 to play. Norchad Omier might make sense as well if we play Zach at the 5. Interior scorer and rebounder extraordinaire. SBC player and defensive player of the year. Kentucky is on him now.
-
@FarmerJayhawk Kentucky will be taking Omier.

FSU’S Bagman followed Gates to Methzu

Gotta have bag men. SEC lost some strong ones recently. Still don’t think Missouri really starts competing there though…
-
Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe in the portal from Oklahoma St
A few sparingly used Oklahoma players in the portal. Ashton Mason & Akol Mawein
-
Arkansas has been busy. Got the Makhi & Makhel Mitchell bro’s from Rhode Island (previously at Maryland) & Jalen Graham from Arizona St. Arkansas has 9 new guys coming in.
Alabama gets Ohio PG Mark Sears. Avg 19.6ppg as a Soph. Big time get for them.
-
@BeddieKU23 Mason is a KC kid. Didn’t think he was cut out for the Big 12 level.

He’d be player of the year under Self.
-
Portal approaching 1250. Less then 500 off last years record. Saw something that kids have until May 1st to declare transfer intentions? Anyone see that as well?
-
Drame Brothers now in the portal from St Peter’s. Makes 5 now. Wonder how many are going to Seton Hall?
-
@BeddieKU23 yes
-
@Kcmatt7 - IMHO, Kofi looked really slow getting up and down the court in the NCAAT, kinda like Doke his first year. Maybe he needs time in the KU program to lose weight and build muscle, as well as Doke-like skills. Diamond in the rough, type.

Not sure I"m telling this guy he needs to build muscle or lose weight. He probably does need to push himself cardio-wise. But trying to make him Doke isn’t going to happen. Doke was a FREAK. Kofi would be special in Bill’s system.

We should know more on the Kofi situation on the 24th. NBA deadline, and he can’t come back this time if he declares.
-
Brendan Huntley Hatfield in the portal from Tennessee. Former 5 star. Yes please
-
Oklahoma lands Wofford transfer Sam Goodwin.
Florida lands talented Belmont transfer Will Richard
-
@Kcmatt7 there goes our running.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 what?
-
Lol. We won’t be getting Cockburn but he would be awesome under Bill.
-
@Kcmatt7 kofi
-
@BShark why doesn’t he go pro?
