So it’s February 9… and Remy still seems off in the distant future. At a certain point, even if he comes back, just how much can we see him help our team? He definitely seems like a better personal offensive threat than Joseph… but we weren’t focused on him getting shots before he went down. It seems like we’ve got adequate firepower now.
March is just a few weeks away. And it doesn’t sound like Remy will be back this week, or probably next week. I don’t expect he will ever dribble a KU basketball at 100%.
I hope Joseph continues to get reasonable minutes because he looks like a very important piece to our puzzle moving forward. We should still expect his play to improve because more play gets him into the offensive/defensive stream.

Just play Joe. He’s 100% healthy and there’s no drama. Kid just wants an opportunity to earn his keep.

I’m still really high on Zach. If he gets stronger, he will eventually be our leading rebounder. He has the scent for it like Jalen does.

Good lord, he has come along. Him and Gradey is a very problematic pairing for opponents if it happens.

So that’s MJ Rice. my first look at him. Dude looks strong! From what i’d read previously, i’d pictured a different player. I thought he’d be more of a wiggins/josh jackson type. Looks totally different. gotta change my perspective! 6-5 for real? Not a knock, but doesn’t look close to that. (again my Josh/wiggs brain at work)

The best KU comparison is Selden IMO.

Just talking thinking out loud here - but what does it really matter as long as he is athletic enough to guard on the perimeter? They basically play 3 wings now and just switch 1-4. Feel like we’ll get a lot more of the same next season.

@BShark Seems like there could be a pattern there. He did say his new goal as a coach with recruiting is trying to figure out how to get old and stay old. The dream is still a core of upperclassmen with a superstar freshmen but that hasn’t really worked out for us yet.
This might lead to some tempering of expectations for next year if we do actually lose Och, Dave, Jalen and Braun. Really need one of those last two to stay for the stability of the program next year but I hope they make the best decisions for themselves.
