Yes. And idk, Dave is clearly going to start. I think Curry is serviceable as a back-up and it would be hard to get a total stud to come in to back-up Dave.
I agree KU could do better, but it’s a tough sell.

@Kcmatt7 Considering Dave and Mitch will be back, high level big men transfers won’t be looking at KU. Curry is a good fit in the role he’ll have and he’d develop into a starter in 22-23 and he is a very violent player in a good way like Doke.

Clemence or Adams going to play next season?

I think Adams is more ready to contribute right away but it’s possible neither is necessary. Zach needs to get stronger.

Both will play. Adams probably can carve a role backing up Wilson. Clemence if he can get his body good this offseason is a wildcard

@KirkIsMyHinrich Clemence has the better chance of cracking the rotation immediately. He’s a natural stretch 4 with a game very similar to Perry Ellis both the good and the bad about Perry.
KJ Adams is a work in progress and likely a year away from being a rotation guy. Adams is a poor man’s Dedric Lawson and could be an undersized post on time.
Clemence is a pure finesse player that will never be a great fit at the 5 unless it’s a 5 out line up. Curry and Adams are both better suited to be post in a 4 out set.

The only two players on KU’s roster that would not impact scholarship numbers for next season are Garrett and Lightfoot. KU is currently at 14 scholarships for next season (15 if Garrett came back for whatever reason) so someone would have to transfer out to make room for any incoming transfer player.

Penn State is having a fire sale.
Their two leading scorers Jones (15ppg) & Brockington( 12ppg) (both guards) have hit the portal as well as 4th, 6th & 8th leading scoreres. Jones is the best of the bunch.

Durham 38% from 3 the last two years (74/194) seems to be a big reason as well as 171 made FT’s. Could be a nice bench piece for a good team

Only played in 6 games but Bucknell Forward/Wing John Meeks is transferring. Averaged 25 ppg on 49% FG, 38% 3pt, 85% FT line to go with 6 boards. Interesting

I like Myreon Jones from PSU a lot. Definitely a volume shooter but shoots it really well from 3. PER would’ve been second for us among rotation players. I think there’s still some defensive potential to unlock too.

Coming off the books: Mitch, Garrett, Silvio, maybe a transfer or two
Additions: Clemence, Adams, Curry, transfer 1, transfer 2.
Add Jones and Walker. Start Walker, Jones, Ochai, Wilson, Dave. Braun the super sub. Harris first guard off the bench. Slide Mitch or Curry in at the 5 for 10 MPG. Clemence or TGF can back up Wilson. 9ish guys you really feel good about.

@BeddieKU23 yeah! Sorry. It’s inevitable I forget someone when doing these mock rosters. I think Bryce has the higher ceiling and given Braun kind of seemed off all year I might give the edge to Bryce.
@jayballer67 all over the board my man. Everyone from juniors to seniors to freshmen. Walker is a sophomore with 3 to play. Meeks is a grad transfer with 1 to play. Jones is a junior with 2 to play.

Yeah I’d take Myreon Jones in a heartbeat. Though for that to happen we probably would need someone actually in the rotation to go pro or something.

I forget certain players all the time when doing my own mocks.
Definitely the way Bryce has bounced back from injuries and Braun’s inconsistent offense gives him a chance for next yr. It is difficult to beat out kids under Self once they start starting, especially kids Self trusts. Either way if they both make the next leap in their development we are going to have two very good guards

Tari Eason- 6’8 Former 3 star prospect but just outside 4 star land averaged 7.3ppg & 5.9 boards 1.3 blks. Looked like a guy who by Jr/Sr year is a all-conference type
Mike Saunders- 3 star PG played with Enaruna

43% from 3 on 39 makes in only 10 games, wow that’s almost 4 a game.
Last two years- 104/252 for 41%. Yeah we need a Moss on this team. Started his career at Minnesota fyi

Portal hits over 600 as I expected.
Fatts Russell of Rhode Island hit the portal. PG didn’t have the greatest year 14.7 ppg, 33% fg. 23% 3pt, looks like his team sucked but as a Jr averaged 18 ppg. He’s a good guard and will play at a big P5 school. Was always impressed watching him play.
SG Jamal Johnson of Auburn- Avg 9ppg, 56 made 3’s
SG Symir Torrence of Marquette- Former Top 100 kid never carved out a role there.
Cincinnati had another rotation player hit the portal. SG Mason Madsen, 6ppg as a freshman. Down to 4 scholarship players. What is happening there?
F KJ Buffen of Ole Miss- 8ppg, 4 boards
Jamal Mashburn- as @jayballer67 mentioned- 8ppg and was having some good games at end of season
