Kentucky is getting the butts handed to them early against ND. 31-9 Irish halfway into the 1st half.
Also, preseason SEC POY Keyontae Johnson collapsed and had to taken to the hospital in the Florida/FSU game. Johnson collapsed coming out of timeout.

Predicted ESPN headline this afternoon: Calipari becomes 2nd hall of fame coach to call for season to be suspended because of covid concerns.

Terrible about Johnson. They were saying at the half that he was at the Hospital Critical But Stable Condition

As bad as Kentucky is right now, they would be a lot worse without Olivier Sarr. They’re fortunate he was cleared to play this season.

The 2020 class was so bad Cal is relying heavily on a transfer from Wake Forest and another from Creighton.

@FarmerJayhawk I wonder if it turns out to be from myocarditis, if this will be the start of the end for this season.
-
@approxinfinity gosh I hope not. I think we could probably do additional cardiac screening for those who’ve been infected rather than canceling the season.
-
I read normally this kills under 100 young athletes a year. Something to monitor if that number drastically increases.
-
A dr friend from here told Me they had to send a college lineman with Covid that had a heart valve problem to Kc. They said Today the U of F player had Covid this summer.
-
Baylor pausing Activities again from COVID. - - Baylor /Texas postponed 2nd time. Game tomorrow against Texas - -and Tarelton St been postponed - - next game is suppose to be against KState but not sure
-
Missouri up 3 on Illinois with 41 seconds left.
-
Missouri has upset #6 Illinois by 3.
-
Ugh
-
Missouri might be the best team in the SEC this season as they also beat Oregon earlier as well.
-
Kentucky making us feel less good about beating them by the day.

Relegate the SEC to NAIA
-
K/State & Squeaky up 14 at the half - -Iowa State with 12 turnovers Zero free Throw attempts. - -Yet I am NOT impressed - -K-State is Bad But OMG - - Iowa State just flat ugly.
There is ONE kid for squeaks and that’s Bradford might be a decent player in the future for him -IF he doesn’t transfer out lol- -& footer just basic dunks of lobs right now about it - -these two teams look really bad. - It’s Bad on Worse ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
You hate to see it.
Star Freshman Jalen Johnson out indefinitely with a foot injury.
Coach K running for a microphone to scream “cancel the season now”
-
Cartier Diarra opted out of the season. Refused to comply with covid testing and wasn’t meshing with VT team.
-
Diarra is the problem. Surprised VT Tech didn’t their homework on why he was basically kicked out of Kansas St
-
@BeddieKU23 He is one of many recent five stars out of Wisconsin that have gone elsewhere. Tyler Herro, Henry Ellenson, Diamond Stone. Badgers aren’t hurting for players mind you, but Gard really seems to have trouble with the 5 stars from the state.

Was on the KSU forum briefly and they think Bradford is already better than Udoka.

They certainly set the bar high, lol.
Bradford vs Gethro long term is interesting to track. KU could have got Bradford, but opted for Gethro.
-
Was watching K-States game last night & Bradford, don’t get me wrong they it looks the kid is fluid to an extent right now anyways - - basically dunks last night Iowa State is just plain awful, last night anyways just a turnover machine and thing is most was unforced.
Bradford is for sure a project got along ways to go - but I think by his Jr year maybe in the middle of it - - I dunno might be a little sooner but anyone is going to look good with the other warm dog doo they have, hell ya gonna think he is the next coming , thing is with them playing us this year - - he is going to have match up problems with us if we go 5 out. - -I don’t think he match’s well at all trying to defend with a 5 out look gonna get beat of the dribble
Can’t talk all negative though I think he will be a solid player on down the line - squeaky might have at least a little something that’s if Squeaks is still there by Brafords Jr year.
-
TCU taking it o Cade and the boys right now. Up 27-18 raining 3’s - TCU hit 5 already, Boykin said they have got to keep them from the 3’s - -FYI - -that’s not happening right now lol
-
Holy lord Okie State choked. Lost by 1 on a 9-0 TCU run to close it out.
-
Dam Jamie and TCU go to Stillwater and beat Cade and the boys 77-76. TCU had 20 turnovers and was down 767-71 in the final seconds but pulled it out

Same thing – same time you & I lol

The bottom of this league sure is something…
-
Just read where Ben Gregg a 6’10 PF is graduating early and going to enroll early at Gonzaga and will be eligible to play as a Freshman - class of 2021 , - -going to play just as soon as he clears everything at Gonzaga. - -So does that mean he is playing THIS YEAR ? -Has always played as a guard it says - just what they need lol. - -Rated as the # 75 player - it just keeps getting better
-
I didn’t see until today that UK is 1-4 and play UNC tomorrow and Lousiville after that lol

Love it
-
@BShark I may honestly enjoy watching UK more than watching KU win games. The satisfaction is really indescribable.
If UK keeps up the suckage and Bill somehow wins the street car derby with a trash can lid on roller skates KU may cut the all-time wins down to single digits this year.
-
Anyone watching wvu isu? Dark isu uni’s. Hard to see

ya I’m watching. Agree are those a dark gray I can’t tell dark gray or black ?
-
Dark gray
-
Lighter now
-
Or I’m losing it
-
Dang I mean you know & I know this won’t last Ol Huggy Bear going be doing some serious chewing at half but - - Iowa State up by 1 at the half despite West Virginia shooting 13 more free throw attempts - - WV like 8-16 from the line Iowa State 2-3. - made for an interesting 1st half though
-
WVU can’t shoot for shit. ISU’s entire defense is fouling them lmao.

they have always had trouble shooting the ball seems like , although they were suppose to be better this year though , the Announcers brought up a good point though their big men aren’t shot blockers like Konate was - Iowa State driving the ball, WV getting beat one on one. - -Still think WV probably pulls away
-
That right there at the start of the 2nd half is what worries me about our game Tuesday Night. - Who we gonna match up on them on the D – Wilson I suppose on one but who is taking the other Big ? - -Afraid Wilson doesn’t have the muscle to wall off might get shoved around - can’t afford him getting in foul trouble. - Yet on the other end how they gonna match up with us if we go 5 out might be interesting
-
Holy crap the end of this ISU WV game
-
@FarmerJayhawk said in Non-KU Games Thread:

ya like 33 free throw attempts somewhere right there compared to like 9. - -Not saying that was the game - -I mean 22 turnovers sure doesn’t help
-
I hate it when basketball officials make the game about themselves by calling way too many fouls. I’ve turned off games when the refs call fouls on every possession and it becomes a FT shooting contest. All refs need to check their egos and realize the game is about the players and the refs’ role should be minimal and not even noticeable after the game. I was just sure the refs were going to call a foul on KU when TT had the ball with 5.9 seconds on the clock. I hate the phrase repeated so often that during the beginning of a game that players need to adjust their game to the way the game is being called by the refs. BS. Let them play; that’s why I’m watching.
-
Look at it from the other way, how r their bigs gonna guard Wilson on the perimeter? He does a pretty good job of blocking out too. Maybe get them in foul trouble? Maybe we can run the floor better?
-
Gonzaga, Iowa is a fun game so far. Both teams play zero defense but score at a higher level then anyone else not named Baylor.
