How much might adidas pay UK to join the revolution?
If Michigan is worth $60 M and Louisville is worth $43M, surely UK has to be worth way more, right?
Here’s a scary thought.
It saved $400 M pulling out of shirts for the NBA, someone said.
It reputedly spent $200 M on Harden.
That means might have another $100 M laying around.
What the heck!
Might UK be worth more than James Harden’s $200 M?
I kind of hope adidas doesn’t out bid Nike for UK, but didn’t someone once say…

I can neither confirm nor deny rumors that Case Officer @VailHawk is on a basketball intelligence mission.
I can only say that he is not getting paid a healthy salary.
I refuse to comment on whether or not he is not receiving hazard pay.

Good to know Svi has really started to transform his body. Now we hope that translates to getting buckets at a better %.
I think Greene does give us a lot of value with his 3 ball & improved rebounding. The downside was he didn’t get the individual or team development this summer that everyone else got. So its hard to project that he will be an improved player.
I also believe Vick has the highest ceiling on the team. I expect he will be seldom used because that’s what Self always does when a player is buried on the depth chart and will complain about not using him enough after the fact. I fully expect him to be a stud next year & as a junior.

I know I’m giddy about Vick at least with the “eye test.” But we all know that doesn’t necessarily mean he will pan out. I want to know more about his basketball IQ. We didn’t get to see him enough to determine that.

It is a big compliment and I’ll probably be dead wrong. I did see the most recent AAU youtube tape thats out on him so that could be blinding me. I went back and watched some of the WUG & I was just impressed by his play. How does his talent sit the bench all year??

@BeddieKU23 He was ice in the WUG. Hit some big shots. Definitely looks like a freshman that could play now. Think about this possibility – we could have all of our perimeter players back in 2016-17, which means he’d still be in the logjam as a sophomore.

That would be a worst case scenario for him. I think Selden will have a great year and be a pro which would allow Vick to slide into a rotation spot. Has Self ever had this much perimeter talent & depth??

@bskeet Agreed this team is stacked. Our backcourt is solid. I dare say it hasnt been this good since 08.
We need Perry to be Perry every game and we need Mickelson to channel his inner Withey. We need Lucas and Traylor to improve, if only slightly. Lastly, We need Diallo.

I assumed you accidentally edited my post, so, rather than repost my original post separately, I reinserted my post into “our” post.
Looking back on it, I think I should not have done that and I apologize. I was trying to do the right thing, but I think I made the wrong choice. We are not supposed to be editing each other’s posts. My mistake.

I’ve mentioned this on several occasions only to have people say no chance of it happening. This is also why I don’t think KU signs a combo this year because the guards KU could lose are 2/3 making wing players the second priority afters at least 3 bigs in this class. I just don’t see a scenario outside of disciplinary issues in which Mason, Graham, and Vick aren’t around next year and none of those 3 have any disciplinary issues in their background I’m aware of.

I really have not thought about Vick very much since the WUGs. However, after seeing him step to the plate fearlessly in international play in S. Korea, I am confident that he can rise to the occasion for major minutes in case Frank or Devonte should get hurt. If all 3 of them return a year from now, Vick is bound to see considerable playing time. Bill Self could possess a 2016-17 squad very similar to the group he donated to Bruce Weber when Self left Illinois. 3 outstanding quick guards, a banger, and a smooth gunner at power forward.
