KJ Adams

  • Separated shoulder. Out at least KSU and TCU games. Will be interesting to see how the team looks without him.

  • Down to 2 guys we have that normally play the 4/5 positions. Griffen/Storr are going to have to step up.

  • Rylan and Kease at the 4 time.

  • Is Clemmence healthy enough to play?

    no

  • @BShark I don’t want to say “good” in response to that because I don’t wish injury upon anybody. But the silver lining to Clemmence not being healthy is that we are basically forced to play 4 around 1.

Yeah with essentially only two bigs it will have to be 4 out around Hunt to start with Flory in when Hunt rests.

  • Do KSU or TCU have any athletic bigs? Feels like 2 games where Hunt will not be exposed

    BIG ERN for TCU

  • I had a separated shoulder from playing intramural football while at Univ of Mich. (Pretty cool…we played on the Wolverines’ artificial turf practice field that they stopped using to move to an indoor one when Schembechler thought UM was losing all their bowl games because of not practicing in warm enough conditions.)

Separated shoulder is very different from dislocated one, where they pop it back in. I kept playing because I figured it wasn’t badly hurt since you couldn’t see any swelling or anything. Within about 3 days I couldn’t raise my arm above elbow height, went to doctor, was ordered to rest it for @ 6 weeks. Healed okay, but I feel a lot of empathy for KJ!

  • @BeddieKU23 100 % correct, they feel they haven’t been given a decent chance - - now here is the time for them to prove themselves, show that they can. I mean we know they can but yet just haven’t let it go. Maybe now knowing less chance of getting yanked at their first mistake/bad play they can focus more now on the game instead of worrying about getting pulled. Perfect opportunity for one or both to step up - -now’s the time to shine

People who say this have never coached a day in their life.

Do you understand the “first or second mistake” you want Self to let them play through is more like the 100 and 101st mistake Self has seen from them including practice?

  • @BigBad lmao, did I say I had ever Coached College ball ? lol- and IF SELF has seen that 100th & 101 st mistake in practice then umm FIX the dam mistake in practice so it doesn’t happen in the game roflmao.- He doesn’t have a choice now they WILL PLAY, I guarantee you those guys aren’t as bad as what we have seen. For IF they were they wouldn’t of ever play major College ball- -Hell they wouldn’t even be playing Co- Rec ball, - pretty fricken hard to get any kind of rhythm when your playing 1-2 possession ball lol

  • I hate this for KJ would never wish him any harm. He drives me nuts a lot of the time but I have a ton of respect for him as a young man. I think if we had a coach with clear thinking he would be an absolute fan favorite like Lightfoot was hitting a few shots and getting a few blocks off the bench. Get better KJ!

Idk I used to coach football and baseball and I made evaluation and playing time mistakes probably every season. I had my best WR riding the bench one season for the first few games because he was lazy at some of our early practices. Then he was so nervous when he would get a shot, he’d mess up.

Finally he had a guy go down in front of him, and I didn’t have anyone else to play that X spot and so he knew he was going to play every snap after that. Dude went beast mode because he wasn’t pressing.

    It happens a ton.

  • @Kcmatt7 Exactly what I’m saying
