I have been dogging them for ducking us in the bowl game hard. The Missourah Chickens!
-
Read where North Carolina’s drop from the top 25 after being ranked pre season # 1 was the 2nd fastest since UCLA in I believe it said 1961-62 - -they are BAD- - I mean REALLY BAD
-
Texas/ Illini is a hell of a game. Elite 8 or FF caliber game. Terrance Shannon and Matthew Mayer both look good.

Frannie is tweeting me…lol.

I’ll say this , yes Texas lost, but man they legit. Quickness, tough defense. Their two guards Hunter & - -dam can’t remember his name - -pretty good tandem. we are gonna have are hands full
-
@Jethro They ducking us like some here want us to duck Wichita St?
-
A few brutal injuries from Arkansas & Michigan for ACL’s.
Trevon Brazile, former Missouri forward is out for the season for Arkansas. Was their 6th man, averaging 11ppg & 6 boards. Also a potential lottery pick.
Jaelin Llewellyn, Michigan’s starting PG is out for the season

I wish we played Wichita state - -everybody says nothing to gain - -I say just playenm anyways -put the hurt on them and call it a day

Iowa flattens the Clones in a game that was one of the most lopsided of the year. It was 29-8 in the first 10 minutes. Clones look the part of a B12 basement dweller.
-
@Jethro So their #20 ranking was slightly inflated?
-
Even worse, Iowa didn’t even have their best player, the other Murray brother who averages over 20ppg.
-

It should be more like #120.

And I thought they sucked at almost everything. Silo Tech- national champions: https://twitter.com/KStateRE/status/1601207606726508546

@Jethro That’s an actual life skill though. Those kids will be good workers. - someone actually worth hiring at their age is pretty damn impressive these days.

Found this today: “Division III Grinnell took 111 shots against Emmaus Bible College on Thursday and every single one of the shots were 3-point attempts. The Pioneers’ 111 attempted 3-pointers set the NCAA single-game record for most 3-point attempts in a game.
What’s more, they connected on 40 of them, shooting a respectably efficient 36% from beyond the arc in a blowout 124-67 win. (The missing four points there for you math wizards came from the free-throw line.) Its 40 made 3-pointers was two shy of Grinnell’s own single-game record set four years ago against Emmaus when it made 42 3-pointers in a win.”
-
@Gorilla72 I am just speculating here, but it looks like the prayers put up by Emmaus had a lower success rate.
-
@Gorilla72 @mayjay I played college basketball and it was for Emmaus Bible College! I scored 2 points taking advantage of a defensive breakdown against Clarke University. They’ve actually developed a program that competes in the NCCAA, the extra C being Christian, and they were in the Final Four last year. When I played we were a glorified intramural team without a gym. Rented an elementary school gym for a day or two each week.
It’s a school of only about 200 people and hats off to them for scheduling Grinnell, a school of 1600 students. Grinnell is the Loyola Marymount on steroids school that never met a shot it didn’t like. They’re famous for scoring but not necessarily winning because their act hasn’t netted them too much success nationally I don’t think.
To be honest calling it an NCAA record is a bit disingenuous. They knew they could win by just shooting 3’s. It was against a non-NCAA school, so just like Billy Preston didn’t really play NCAA basketball because it not against a D1 school, I really think Grinnell should be embarrassed for bragging about this ‘accomplishment’.
The next year I entered the portal and went to KU but Larry Brown couldn’t find a spot for me on the team.
-
Man after an impressive win over Texas Illinois is getting it handed to them by Penitentiary State University.
-
Louisville and Florida St. are playing each other today with a combined record of 1-17. I know Louisville’s issues, but I’m shocked by how bad FSU is because they’re usually a pretty strong team.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Hilarious! Which east coast media outlet is going to feature that horror movie?

Pretty cool story. I’m sure you remember it well. 99% of the rest of the world has not done what you have.

Lady Jayhawks with another impressive win - - 72 – - 52 over Wichita State. No doubt they will be ranked , probably top 20 - - 15 steals - -pretty dam good defense - Good Job Ladies

This is my tweet. Classic Frantrum tonight in Wisconsin-Iowa game. Cost his team the game as the two FT’s in the last five minutes of the game prevented them from winning in regulation.

He’s quite a strange dude. Bottom line is he is a mediocre coach with a bad temper. He’s never made a S16, even.

BREAKING: Texas Tech’s Fardaws Aimaq is expected to transfer, source told @stadium.
Aimaq transferred this past year from Utah Valley, where he averaged 18.9 ppg 13.6 rpg per game.
Has yet to play this season while recovering from a broken foot. Hard cast was removed Monday.
Don’t we need a center?
-
@Jethro Hmm hmm hmm. Bill would have to do someone dirty to make room. Doubt it happens.

Put the Camster on grant in aid?
-
He only averaged 13.6 boards last year, down from the 15.0 boards the year before, which led the nation. He averaged 18.9 points per game last year on a wide array of post moves and 3 point shooting. He shot .435 from 3. We was the WAC defensive player of the year in 2021 and also 2022.

Boy sounds like he would be really nice, but sounds like we might not have room ? - without Bill doing something Dirty ?-- wonder why a guy like that is transferring out anyways ? - - no playing time ? - - that can’t be

Not dirty- just change Cam’s status to grant in aid, and we got room.

Kansas will face three quality big men in its next three games: IU’s Trayce Jackson-Davis, Harvard’s Chris Ledlum, and Oklahoma State’s Moussa Cisse.
Jayhawks were out rebounded by 29 in games against Duke and Tennessee.
From Jon Rothstein.
-
Wow, Grambling St has taken out Vanderbilt and also Colorado whom beat Tennessee who beat KU. Grambling should be top 5!

Bama Gonzaga is unhinged

Looking rough so far, but Ohio St is a decent team. Lots of hero ball at the guard position. Bacot looks good though.
-
Not college basketball, but the Indianapolis Colts blew a 33 point lead in the second half to the Vikings and are now in OT.
-
And the Vikings win in OT to finish the biggest comeback in NFL history.
-
Indiana fans are having a great day
-
Manek was significantly better than Nance and it shows.
Really no improvement by any of UNC’s players this off-season… if anything some serious regression
-
Wow just got the shot off in time.
-
Heck of a comeback.
-
Tucky gets smoked again. This has turned out to be quite a nice day!

I stand by my pre-season prediction that UNC ain’t it! I still don’t know who is though lol

Hurley was a phenomenal hire.
If one of the freshman bigs can get it together for us so we can match up against size we have a shot. Otherwise we will need some help from the selection committee.
We did well against size yesterday, but that IU team looked poorly coached. That won’t happen against a Purdue or Kentucky.

I hate the fact they’re so good. Their fans are literally elevating them to heights unforseen in human history. We might as well hand them the title because Kenpom says so…lol.

KU is elite. We shall see what we have on the road in conference play but I really love the chemistry of this group. They get it.
