GRADY - - there you go bud
-
One concern is Gradey has scored 83 pts but only 32 in the second half.
-
@jayballer67 man you watch KU before? That’s nothing new and Self has explained it
He hates easy buckets it’s why we never press because it results it layups when broken correctly
He guards paint out in 2022 it’s why teams often shoot well against us
-
@wissox If we won a national championship after his gloom and doom, perhaps he should do more of that this year.
-
I’m changing his name to Nosefu
-
Nice play,
-
Let’s go!
-
Tenn sloppy with the ball yay

@Texas-Hawk-10 Harris is the pg and the best one
He has to score
Bill also has to play mj more someone who will look at the rim
Everyone settle down Harris is the clear best pg by a mile
Harris has when needed which is why he’sover 9 ppg. He’s averaging 8 attempts per game which is 4th on team and was 3rd before yesterday. Yesterday was also by far his worst offensive game of the season. His ppg so far is 4 more than last year so I’d say he’s increased his scoring this year.
-
Joe stepping up when we need it most doing more than Bobby has this year and more than Juan had this game….this is the Joe we need
-
-
We’re shooting 32%, getting killed on the boards and Tenn is hitting 50% of 3s. Shocking that we are just down 3…
-
Tenn. to’s?
-
Where’s our bigs? I know udeh made a cameo, but we look small out there.
-
Plus 15 turnovers by TN

That is what is keeping us within shouting distance…
-
Finally
-
Jalen single handily losing this one for them
-
Fouled
-
Geez we get into managable position and then this
-
Poor ending to a similar half.
-
Tennessee 17 turnovers in the 1st half. I knew they were sloppy but 17 - -we need to take advantage of that
-
Played well on D again. That’ll be our calling card all year. Just need to get better at capitalizing.
-
Tough when we give it back 10 times
UT playing without their best player - imagine if we had to do that
17 turnovers and up 8….this is a legit team @FarmerJayhawk
Frustration is our play good D and scrap is great will get us to sweet 16 or elite 8 but the great offensive teams beat the good defensive teams in basketball every time…
-
I see us tying it up at 45 pts,

Well that’s about of as an ugly of a half that I’ve seen in awhile. So maybe now that’s out of the way we can get this thing turned around. - - 8 - -28 not gonna win you many games. - -Tennessee is a 29.9 % three point shooting team so - -OF COURSE in the 1st half they shoot over 50 % from the three. - -go figure.
-
@jayballer67 you don’t remember the 2nd half yesterday?

Lol , ya I do. - - hoping for not a repeat. - - 2nd half yesterday - -1st half tonight
-
Tennessee is a bad shooting team but we are also giving them wide open looks.
Honestly, the only thing that’s really pissed me off is the officials putting Harris on the bench with bad calls. That was also probably a delay of game on Tennessee to end the half.
-
McCuller forced some shots. JWill needs to drive and kick out. Gradey started getting active the last 8 minutes, keep him going. Get a rim protector.
-
The first half kind of looked like an actual battle for Atlantis
-
@Zabudda Kevin was open he just isn’t able to buy a bucket
-
Famous last words, but… I don’t think Tennessee will shoot nearly as well the second half, nor do I think KU will shoot nearly as poorly. Bill knows Barnes. KU by 2
-
I also think there’s some fatigue setting in with KU. Our starters have played a lot of minutes the last two days and lot of shots look like tired legs.
-
So, looking at the glass as half full… JW, Gradey, KJ and Juan are 3-19. Juan on the bench almost half of the half. Down 10 on the boards; JW with just 1. Shooting less than 30% from inside and outside the arc. Starters are gassed after playing too many minutes the past 2 days. And, down just 8. Not saying we are going to win, but this is winnable…

True and Very True - -Tennessee is only a 39 % Fg shooting team - -& a 29 % 3 pt % shooting team but like you say if we ever decided to guard might be different. - -17 turnovers and those kind of shooting numbers - - no excuses
-
Opening play is a screen to Kevin not Gradey for 3 - What are we doing Bill?
-
KJ!
-
KJ! Be aggressive. Foul some folks out!
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 I hate this excuse UT was in OT yesterday
There is no excuse
-
KJ is a strong ass kid
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich which is bad - wide open looks when we hang our hat on D
-
Double pump again/
-
Juaaaaaan

That’s the problem with only having 3.5 players
-
Hang in the air KJ
-
Don’t look now but our leading scorer is Joe…
-
No box out. Again

Even with the OT, they still had a lot more bench minutes and their first game was a blowout so their starters didn’t play big minutes in that one. They are a fresher team, that’s a reality.

What an idiot
