If your talking about the incident that I’m talking about in here not sure how the hell you didn’t see anything , so you must be talking about another play. Because they T’d Doke for alot less and I’ve seen other players T’d for a lot less. You watch the paly I was talking about the kid makes an attempt to block Johnson and his momentum causes him to fall flat on the floor - - Johnson flushes and right over the kid pretty much stares at him while he is on the floor sprawled out mean mugging and flexs bowing all up. - -You gonna T other players for that then you can Dam sure T Johnson up

But Johnson wasn’t standing over the player, there was several feet of separation between the player and when Johnson got up and showed emotion of the big dunk. Seen the play several times on ESPN and reviewed it on Youtube.
Standing over a fallen player was Silvio De Sousa. That was the epitome of bad sportsmanship. Of course K-St’s player was also guilty of the same for stealing the ball.
The beauty of seeing the same thing differently I guess.

Honestly I’m not about to argue with you. Have you seen the play again since you saw it live? He got up flexed for half a second and then a teammate came over to celebrate and hit him in the chest. At that point he wasn’t even looking at the player he just posterized. He wasn’t going towards the player either or standing over him (like Silvio did last year), if anything he was backing up. Big time Dunk. See no reason to T him up for that.
And yes Doke did get T’d up for less, if I remember correctly. He loved to flex his arms up after a big dunk. Think Self even talked to him about cooling off on that.

@BeddieKU23 no, didn’t see it. Have watched him play though. Would’ve been nice to be able to sign him, huh? At any rate, I’m good with our entire roster being made up of top 100ish or so guys like Agbaji, Wilson and Braun every year, but as Roy succinctly put it one year when playing Darren Hancock, “sometimes you just need an athlete,” or two or three.

I’ll continue to take my crow served with dinner regarding Grimes. Just a complete whiff from what I thought he’d be at this level. Seen some of his games this year. I will say this, he’s a better college player now then he was when he played for KU. Good fit in the AAC.

I would argue that he is just about the same player he was at KU - just two years older, gets a few more minutes per game, and plays against inferior competition most games. While he is the Cougars leading scorer, he is very inefficient. As @Kcmatt7 noted, he shooting 38% from the field - and, that is actually deceptive. He’s only had 6 games all year when he’s made above 40%. His scoring average is largely a function of taking lot of shots. He’s also gotten a slight bump from improving his FT% (80). He’s at best an average rebounder for his position/size. Maybe an above average passer when he doesn’t actually shoot. All in all, a decent starter on a decent team in a middling conference, but that’s about it. Definitely has not lived up to the hype he had coming out…

He is about the same I agree. He has the role that he wants which is being a ball dominant guard, the role he lost to Dotson while at KU.

Really crazy actually makes me feel some what better. Not trying to make excuses but mercy - -Villanova loses to St Johns ? – Houston loses , so there goes # 3 & # 5 . - -TCU beats OSU , believe it or not that doesn’t really stun me at TCU and yes TCU has had some moments as a decent team ,
Just a strange year , Duke - - - Kentucky - - - KU & N Carolina to lesser degree - - Michigan State . Like Farmer says about the only every day in - -day out is Gonzaga & Baylor and even Baylor has screwed around a bit at times not much but some.
What’s actuall kind of funny don’t know if others have noticed but like when Kentucky ( especially ) & Duke when these guys are playing you can hear these announcer almost BEGGING Kentucky and Duke to win. They make one - -two good plays and the announcers go - - NOW THERE YOU GO keep working keep working , look out here they come and then they do a bonehead move lmao. - -wonder how big these ass kissers hankies are ? -Just strange year, in reality it’s NOT just KU I guess

Well was surfing the boards, went to one of my favorites - - Kentucky to see what was the latest. - -Crazy how quickly the tide turns. Seems just like yesterday their Coach Cal was walking on water , TODAY - - -not so much. Crazy how many want Cal OUT - - - GONE - - FIRED - - FORCED whatever. Thread after thread after thread. - -Makes me feel a little better about our off year.
So here is a little fun fact that might make your day better , Did you know that since 2015 Kentucky & Coach Cal or whoever - -Kentucky is 22-22 against top 25 ranked teams ? - - -22-- & 22 - -the fans are stunned - -up in arms talking about how sad that is - -that even set me back a little THE SO CALLED KING of the Bluebloods the winningest program in basketball history - - 22 & 22 - - since 2015 - -hope that lil tid bit makes your day go a little better. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I thought it was a pipe dream, but if this keeps up, we might pass UK in all-time wins by season’s end, or next season at the latest. We’ve already made up 7 of the 16-game deficit we had at the start of the year.
