Grayson Allen

  • @BShark Yes, he invaded the cylinder, got popped in the jaw and then acted like a little Richard…typical though.

  • @approxinfinity it absolutely does. He is just so immature for a guy that is supposed to be the leader of top 5 team. I am biased, but I don’t think any of that shit he pulls would fly under Self.

  • I’d think the staff wouldn’t recruit Grayson level crazy but we did recruit crazy as recent as Anrio.

Anrio might be crazier. He just wasn’t around long enough.

Only thing keeping him out of the NBA is his attitude.

He would feel righ at home with LeBron.

  • @JayHawkFanToo Your hate for LeBron is perplexing.

People hate Brady too. Just comes with being the greatest of all time.

  • Wilt, MJ, Russell then Lebron for goat.

Is that sarcasm or a true statement?

  • @JayHawkFanToo True statement. One of the most unselfish players on the court, and seemingly one of the more moral players off.

I really would like to know the reasons for which you don’t like LeBron.

  • alt text

Maybe he should have taken this advice idk…

  • @Kcmatt7

Lebron is a whiner and complainer that has frequently thrown teammates under the bus. As far as being more moral, I am not sure what that even means…like being more pregnant? We are all supposed to be moral, that is the standard, and either we are or we are not.

LeBron comes across as one of the most petty and disingenuous players in the NBA. Having a TV special to announce a decision on where to play, that’s just an ego play and that he’s about to leave Cleveland again after this year.

  • @Texas-Hawk-10 I’m sure the boys and girls club hated the $2.5M they received from that 🙄

  • I honestly think this kid has deep mental issues. I wouldn’t draft him if he was still available with the last pick.

  • @JayHawkFanToo he is with his hs sweetheart still. All his children are with that same woman. He donates plenty to charity. He isn’t out doing crazy things in a time where everything is video taped.

And that isn’t the norm. He is a great role model compared to the majority of other pro athletes.

Thats what I mean by morale.

But sure he complains. We should hate him.

  • Kcmatt7 said:

Yet he still came across like an ego maniac and has repeatedly run players and coaches out of Cleveland.

  • @Kcmatt7 Weird times we live in where a man staying with the mother of their children absolves them of being a self-absorbed d–k in their professional career and when they’re interviewed and makes them a role model.

  • @Texas-Hawk-10 Name all the players and coaches ran out of Cleveland.

    • Kyrie
    • David Blatt

That’s all that I can think of off of the top of my head.

  • “All the people that was rooting on me to fail, at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today.”

"They have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do with me and my family and be happy with that.

“They can get a few days or a few months or whatever the case may be on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal, but they have to get back to the real world at some point.”

    Lbj

  • Hell of a player, not such a great sport.

  • @approxinfinity What a weird world we live in when being a humble pro athlete is more important than being a good husband and father.

Boy oh boy do we have our priorities straight.

I’d rather my kids grow up to be jerks at their work but wholesome, family-oriented people than great workers who are terrible people at home.

  • I’d rather my kids not ever be jerks!

  • “This fall, and this was a very tough decision for me, but this fall I will be taking my talents to South Beach and joining the Miami Heat.”

“Cleveland fans are awesome, but I mean, even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court,” LeBron

  • @Kcmatt7

Humble pro athlete? You lost me at humble.

BTW, he had Wiggins traded before he even played one game for Cleveland. Short memory much?

  • I hate LeBron too. I’m perplexed that your perplexed. 🙂

  • @Kcmatt7 I think he made sure that Wiggs got shipped. But i gave up on nba long ago.

I would say all these guys were better than LaB: MJ, wilt, magic, Oscar Robertson, Russell, Kareem, and Larry Bird.

  • Some people I don’t even like to look at, let alone be around. They disgust me, make me feel dirty.

  • Wilt was a much bigger braggart than LJ has ever been. With him it was seen as part of the intimidating persona, and in retrospect, he is even more beloved for it even though he was hated by millions when he played. He also had players he didn’t like taken out, but now is viewed as simply trying to be a winner. And one of the greatest sportswriters of all time wrote an SI article after Wilt went to the Lakers that was pretty revelatory about him being difficult to play with and causing major coaching issues.

    https://www.si.com/vault/1969/01/27/559068/on-topbut-in-trouble

Going back years to his Miami announcement to justify an irrational unappreciation of LJ is really just nuts. He brought Miami 2 championships, and gave Cleveland its best moment in 50 years with theirs. He has given back to that community, which has forgiven him the ill-advised but well-meaning charity special. Time for other bb fans to do so as well.

For people who don’t like his personnel involvement, Bird and Russell had Auerbach to run things. LJ has had idiots as GMs. I cannot blame him for trying to find superstar fits, even though I think he would have been better served by trying to find a high quality center and a dishing point guard rather than high scoring forwards or PGs.

I love and admire Wilt but I think the onslaught of 24 hour nonstop sports obsessiveness that LB has had to experience would have left his rep much the same as LBs is today. For example, his philandering was well known at the time but hidden, even abetted, by reporters. What would we be exposed to now if LB was bedding 3 women a day in every city he visited and even more at home?

With that in mind, on @Kcmatt7’s suggestion, does anyone here think LJ’s morals are inferior to Wilt’s? If you admire Wilt, you need to be at least willing to admit that your hatreds of LJ are inconsistent with your ability to forgive Wilt for being nowhere near the angel you demand from LJ.

  • So much ado about nothing.

Great player, not so humble. If people would stop trying to make him into Mother Teresa he might catch less flak.

  • LeBron is a good player but a toxic teammate.

GA is a Duke brat who flops and trips people.

    Moving on.

  • @Kcmatt7 He ran Mike Brown out in 2009, then left anyway. When he went back to Cleveland, he got Blatt hired before he ran him out.

He meddles with the roster and he humiliates his teammates because he needs a dog to kick.

  • @dylans wow, what a d–k.

  • @Kcmatt7 I never said it was more important; I said absolves them.

    Exactly.

  • this is Allen’s last chance in the spotlight. He’s not a NBA player. Kid missed his chance after his freshman year

Speaking of LeBron? I don’t care how much you donate to one cause or another. It doesn’t give you the right to act like an a hole.

Now I’m not going to lay all the blame of Lebron’s attitude at his feet. Let’s not for get this poor kid when he was a kid was being labeled the best of all time. Those kinds of expectations can be very overwhelming to anybody.

I think the big issue that most fans need to understand about Lebron. His that he really doesn’t have great leadership skills. He is just the best at what he does. When he was playing for the Heat Wade was the boss/leader. Lebron had no problems with it. Lebron is just not a leader.

I’m betting right now as his time with the Cavs is coming to a close. He wishes he could somehow play under Curry and the Warriors. Lebron maybe indeed the best ever? Yet he plays better, and has better success when he has a leader.
