I predict Council will not be left open as much this game. But he’s still my dawg, er, hawk to Rock tonight. Also hoping for an elmarko showing

So - I get that pulling a hammie pull can be a long heal, but quad cramps? That should be fixable no?

@marshhawk thats what it was? Not sure.

Personally, it doesnt appear that team chemistry or fit is being hurt with him sitting out. He has proven he can be highly efficient inserted in after missing games. I do think it would be nice to see several guys contribute offensively around him. But we may get more in that front by his absence than his presence.

Quads are being over used cause he's afraid to strain that hammie. Quads are taking the heat. You think they are giving him IV fluids?

              According to Gemini -
“Quad cramps are usually temporary, but frequent, severe, or persistent cramps can signal a long-term issue, like nerve/vascular problems (PAD, pinched nerves), chronic conditions (diabetes, thyroid issues, MS), or overuse injuries, requiring a doctor's visit for diagnosis and treatment to prevent ongoing pain or more serious complications. “

@marshhawk i wonder how much Darryn’s diet or workout routine has changed since coming to Kansas.

@marshhawk Always been told one main thing with cramps like these in quad needs more fluids water/Gatorade. some of these dam podcasts are still behind, still talking about ham string-- -Coach said that Ham string had not even been mentioned one time with this.

They need to get it right , ummm Quad front of leg from around upper knee hamstring back of leg from below waist to on down. You could see in the game Saturday after he came out they was working on the front of his knee-- -doing nothing on the back. Might as well know right noww he will be out for next game too

@ROCKCHALK2025 I remember somewhere in my past...maybe back when having several physical therapists in a friend group...learning that muscles in opposition to injured muscles can get stressed. Similar to how favoring one leg with a sprained ankle or knee can make the other leg work extra. Or cause abnormal movement--for example, Dizzy Dean came back too soon from a leg injury, changed how he landed with his foward foot, and messed up his other leg.

If DP tries to keep his hamstrings loose with extra stretching, that seems like the quads could be getting tighter. I know the worst neck cramps I ever had were alleviated only after heat and massage on the opposite side--that side was really tight but not painful. The side that was hurting was resisting the tightness.

Might mean it's not so weird.

@mayjay I think you're right, if I yell too loudly at referees my wife will get stressed.

A team like Towson, Council might go for 50.
