@DoubleDD I’m happy with the win and most of the game elements, but we can’t just let teams shoot unguarded 3s over and over from the top of the arc. Why not guard it? TT was 11/28 from the 3. One of these days, a team will beat us if we continue to let 3 balls go unguarded.

Calling it like I see it, Texans only made the playoffs due to their division. Crap QB play never goes far. I had no idea there were any Texan fans here.

@DoubleDD in order to improve at something and achieve a higher level of success (final four), you have to have expectations that fit the goal. This type of performance tonight would not have won a sweet sixteen game. Just like last year, I think they will improve enough to get there.

thought so, i mean after the 14 minute mark of the 2nd half this team really just wore them out. Tech is a jump shooting team that couldnt keep up

Yeah I’m a bit concerned there too. Prevent D works better in the NFL than it does in b-ball.

@BShark It’s alright…you have Alex Smith, so good luck with that. I have the Chiefs ranked 3rd best in the AFC, so they won’t make it past the AFC Championship game anyway.

@DoubleDD yes because that means our defense didn’t allow anything easy and made them shoot tough shots every time down the floor. I never said I was unhappy about tonight - I only said that tonight would not have gotten the job done in the sweet sixteen.

We shot 51% for the game, 50% from 3’s, 81% from the line, held them to 40%, 39% from three which is below their average, outrebounded them by 11, had a few too many TO’s but forced the same amount from them. And we OUTSCORED THEM BY 17. Other big 12 teams are going to compete with us. This wasn’t a bad performance at all by our team. Not once did I feel like the game was slipping away.

You’re making a assumption. You don’t what a sweet 16 game would be like. Me personally it was a pretty good defensive game for the Jayhawks. I mean I get you want a lock down nobody scores defense. Yet remember to play that type of defense affects your offense. And offense is what this KU team does best.

Sure the defense isn’t the same but Bragg may surpass LL on a by min basis.

It’s ok bubba. Nobody thinks that. Every KU wants more. It’s apart of the lore. You’re fine. Just try to enjoy the journey a little bit more. I mean this team just went from not playing defense at all to playing pretty good defense. That’s all.
