  @drgnslayr don’t call it "small ball, "call it “low ball”! And it is very zen that the lower you play the more ready you are to explode into a jump, once you develop the muscles for jumping the no step jump from bent knees? Once I learned to play both ends and in transition with bent knees, I taught myself to turn my toes inward right before I jumped. Pigeon toed and bent knees gave me the most lift without having to straighten up and take a step and jump. Give me a team of basketball players that can slide and explode straight up out of bent knees, without straightening and stepping to go up, and I will rule the basketball season.

  Wow, Most of the items listed here were never on the menu in the 70’s. Still, the training table (located in the Jayhawk Towers Basement) was the best food around at the time-and guys did bulk up-just not nearly efficient as today’s programs, and now we see much better athletes as a result.

  My best guess is they can use them to remind them of schedule reminders, priorities, etc. And maybe the occasional pump-up video/highlights-as for the latter they’d need to be the same or have them use headphones. Still pretty sweet. I still remember the silverfish in the Memorial Stadium Footlockers. the indoor track season was in AFH, and was just like a high school gym locker back in the day. No complaints though-we were happy to be there.

  @drgnslayr While I did not necessarily get a negative vibe on Hunter, the fact that the seems so exited about Lucas makes me think he will get more minutes than Hunter. Again, nothing specific, just a gut feeling and I could be wrong.

  @JayHawkFanToo I agree… but don’t you think the chaos around it also piled on to the struggle? I remember all the “what is Kansas going to do now?” media stream. So we lost our big guy and we also were smeared with over-the-top attention when we needed to adapt our game. Tharpe seemed to be devastated by the pressure… as well as all of our young guys. Look at who won it all. UCONN… with seasoned guards and bad record, making them the perfect sleeper team. Their execution was remarkable when considering their talent level and having to beat the all stars at Kentucky.

  @globaljaybird Thanks for the link … I read there that Bragg is going to decide in the late signing period. That is contrary to what I had read elsewhere. Hoping he doesn’t wait. When the music stop, I cannot imagine that one of top post guys doesn’t pick KU. The question is if we get two, and the question is if we can get a highly talented, foundational, non-OAD guy – Bragg seems like the only option on our radar that fits the bill.
