  @JayHawkFanToo Yeah… I think Kentucky is more scary next year and the year after that. I’m guessing the twins will leave Lexington with diplomas. Actually, I have a high degree of respect for the twins. Kentucky has some spoiled rotten super studs… but the twins have not had the easy road to where they’ve gone. They mostly just had size and athleticism going for them, but over the years they have received the very best coaching possible (and needed it) (BTW: not Cal)… for example, they have been with John Lucas since the 8th grade. Those guys have worked their butts off and will continue to improve every year. The real catch for Cal will have been the twins. I know everyone is bagging on them… but those guys get better and better and they bring experience to the team. Now… they will carry a definite chip. Take the constant away from Kentucky (the twins) and lets see how they do!

  5 Months ago, wow. Anyone can be beat! Wisconsin was the better team and deserved to win. “Don’t believe the hype”.

  @Statmachine 247 has their own ratings, but what is most followed is their composite of all ratings - aggregate something like 30 or 40. Some probably follow the AAU circuit closely, others probably are, as you say, clowns. But the wisdom of the crowds usually has some merit. Also important to track is the trend - a lot of the predictions are very stale - the more recent ones might have a touch more validity. Brown’s statement that he would only go to an Adidas school was recent - just guessing that many of the predictions predated that. Trending is that Brown will end up at UCLA - but who really knows. Diallo was trending to SJU post Mullins hire and his hire of the ISU assistant who was recruiting him.

  Reading the fan comments after the story left me confused. I hear them talking playing D and passing the ball. Do they really do that in the league? The once in a couple of years I ever watch a league game I don’t recall anything I’d recognize as D. And passing. It always seemed to me whoever brought the ball up court also shot the ball.

  @truehawk93 I believe the reason that St. John’s is gaining traction for Diallo is because one of Coach Mullin’s first moves was to hire ISU’s lead recruiter for his staff - who had been working closely with Diallo. Couple that with St. John’s proximity to Diallo’s current school and they have gotten a bump in the crystal ball. Going off on a different tangent - how do you think Hoiberg would do with OADs? He has done very well with experienced transfers who have already seen time on the court at the collegiate level - some who have paid their dues and experienced hardship, so they have a renewed sense of purpose (ala Royce White). The Mayor is certainly willing to change his approach to cater to the skill set his roster brings to the table. But I wonder whether OADs have the basketball IQ necessary to excel when trey-balling or transition hoops aren’t working and he starts running hybrids and gimmicks to exploit weaknesses. How many OADs have the ability to grasp an understanding of that many offensive nuances? We know our OADs can’t master Self’s singular system and that Kentucky’s offense is far from prolific.

  @drgnslayr I used to work with a lady whose son played four years under Coach Knight at Indiana. This would have been in the mid 80’s. She would be incensed when any one degraded Bob Knight. She thought he walked on water. She knew how tough and hardnosed he was, she didn’t have her head buried in the sand or anything, but she also said he was the most thoughtful and caring person she had ever met. She said he treated those boys as though they were his own and really loved them. He felt his discipline was showing them that he cared about them. I personally felt he may have gone overboard at times, but I would not say that around her!! Or else…:facepunch:

  @Crimsonorblue22 Love the kids attitude. His perimeter shooting is a big addition to this team. Knowing our first big off the bench could be an offensive weapon, something we lacked last year is exciting.
