KU has a zoom call with Wes Enis, USF guard. #55 in the transfer rankings
He went to High School in a neighboring district to me. He left High School early and went to a D2 school before transferring to USF. His dad is Curtis Enis the Penn State and Chicago Bears football player.
He improved his shooting since high school but tends to be an all-or-nothing chucker(0-11 from 3 in ncaa tournament game vs Louisville). Doesn't create for others.

@ReggieKansas
Bull shitPlayers are NEVER held accountable. People have ignored it for years. Players who can barely speak English, “graduate” from a university. I played juco in the early 90s, back when guys ACTUALLY had to pass the SAT. My conference was littered with D1-level players, Ben Wallace for one, because they couldn’t get into universities. Fast forward, and they have others take the test, like Derrick Rose. Or they create fake classes like UNC, or they all take the same major, like sociology at Duke.
All of this is done so they can get guys into college that frankly should never be there. The majority of these guys are low IQ. Getting a fake degree with alumni connections to help with employment still wasn’t enough. They can’t buy a fancy car and diamonds right now with that!!! These low IQ fs and the leeches want to destroy everything to get paid. Yet 99% can’t compete in the open market of basketball(NBA).

RE: KU ROSTER 2026-27
Why does anyone want to follow this garbage? I know I'm beating a dead horse, but man, the second Bill Self retires, I'm out for good. I have ZERO interest in semi-pro sports. Especially with participants who don't give a crap about where they play, just the paycheck. I can't wait to hear about all these illiterate morons who blew the money they made, crying about how nobody taught them how to manage their money. They all laugh at the value of a FREE education that is so overpriced for the average American. Good riddance!

Oh crap! Duke lost! lol
That last second shot reminded me of when Laettner took down Kentucky in 1992. I watched that live, too. Karma!
I actually think Laettner's game-winner vs UCONN in the previous years elite 8 was a tougher shot and is big-time underrated.

RE: INDIANA. UCLA. LOUISVILLE. AND.......
I live in Ohio. Trust me, Kansas basketball is relevant.

RE: Bill Self
The coaching tree is probably the #1 consideration when Duke and UNC go looking for a successor. But with KU, if we wanted to follow that path, it seems pretty barren.
Add its a bad way to go.
Matt Doherty was a failure and now Davis is.
Sheyer was a recruiter and walked into an easy situation regarding that. But he could be a Coach Cal at best. Years of wasting talent.IMO you hire the best coach in their 40s, and I don't want anyone who's won a title previously. You want a great coach that beleives he needs a blue bloods resources and prestige to be the best.
A douche like Golden would come in thinking he is already the man. If Kansas hired Golden, I'd 100% stop watching. The NIL and transfer portal already have me close. Kansas hiring a complete doucebag like Golden would definitely be enough for me to bail.
I really like McCollum.

RE: Bill Self
If and when, my vote is Ben McCollum. Winner at every level. Personality fits.

Fair enough. Basically I’m simply offering a way to bitch about players to soothe our post season blues. Since these players are pros now, seems fair.
Does being paid somehow negate being young and dumb? Does it negate playing only one season under Coach Self, who always takes 2 years minimum to get the best out of guys?

RE: Money next year
@approxinfinity lol…this sport is done. Why watch minor leagues? That all it is now

@BeddieKU23 I know the next coach won't be as successful but I think it's probably time. Also I hope the next coach is more of a "players coach".
Yep, with the portal, we are now in the era of douchebag coaches. Hurley and Golden come to mind.

@approxinfinity I tell parents all the time playing the same sport year round is silly. It’s hard on their bodies and doesn’t give time to recover especially baseball and softball. Nothing wrong with shooting hoops in the summer but playing in leagues year round is much imo. Maybe that’s some of DPs issues. I’m hoping it was just a minute restriction and nothing is a miss with a knee now.
It isn't one sport, its NO OFFSEASON. "Athletes" nowadays never take a couple of months and DO NOTHING.

RE: Darryn Peterson
I was at the Louisville game when all of this started. I sat in the last row of the KU family section right behind the bench. I saw his mom run to the concession stand and get him ice cream. I assume they did this for legit cramping. If they did this as a big fake-out on everyone, I'd be utterly shocked.

How do you think boosters feel that ponied up millions for this feel. Those are the ones that should >really be pissed.
Imagine donating your hard-earned money to college-age kids for a sport. If that is your priority in life, I have ZERO pity for you. If you have money to blow, there are many more noble causes out there.
Sorry to all you young guys, but sports peaked about 25 years ago.
