2022 Recruiting Thread

Drama drama, sky is falling, waah waah waah…
Say 50 or 500 guys a year go out of HS, on top of all the one and dones. College bb will still be around, lower echelon players move into the ranks, the competition isn’t quite as high but it all levels out in the end. No shortage of good athletes who will move up and be excellent. More opportunities for some to get schollies.
People will still watch their favorite teams, the Field House will still get 16,300, and the sun will come up every day for the next 4 to 5 billion years.

See if your referring to my post? - there IS no of the so called waah - -waah , what it is is fact. - -your going to see more ALOT more of these kids going - The NCAA is running themselves out of sight - out of mind. Between the diminishing of the NCAA - the ajoining of these leagues transforming into super Conferences - And these Overtime Elite’s - - College Basketball is going to be so watered down gonna leave your head spinning. - Your more the welcome to your entertaining thoughts -as well as I am mine - we shall see - it’s going to be a whole new ballgame in the future - the very neat future. Basketball as we now know it is about to Change - a Big change

Of course it will. That was my point. It will adapt, and we won’t be wringing our hands about players who aren’t there.

He’s not bad at all, a lot of size for the guard/wing position. Not a huge fan of his jump shot but he seems to make them. Ranked #35 so obviously talent there. Need a big class either through guys like this or through the portal so this is a good offer

Looks like this will be a huge class. Biggest priority should be adding a guy to play the 5 spot but you take talent where you can get it. I think 35 is probably too high but he has some decent tools.

I also read that Julian Phillips 6’8 SF out of Link Year Academy Branson Missouri is setting up a visit or wants to visit. - -Ranked # 21 by Rivals.
Other Schools : LSU , Clemson , Fla St , USC , Ala , Fla , Tenn , UCLA , & Virg

Well not really recruiting but KU ball. Were getting closer guys , read the article by Gary Bedore - -Coach Self said their all here , as classes start today. - -Coachs are allowed to work with the group for 4 hours a week , kinda get things rolling you know. - -The players are allowed more time as a group but Coach’s 4 hours a week with the team.
Hmmm, can you smell that ? - -Smells like a BIG KU run this season coming , on it’s way. - - -I’m ready - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Agree. I think KU can find a quality big on the transfer market next year. There just isn’t a big they are going to land that is going to immediately fill the Big Dave role

I actually think we have a decent shot for Rylan Griffin - pretty solid player. Is late night on the 1st Farmer ? - -If so as we know that’s always a plus, and with people actually getting to be there this year can’t do nothing but help

Dave isn’t an NBA prospect and is eligible to come back next in 2022-23. I would say at this point there’s a pretty solid chance he comes back next season because KU is still going to be absolutely loaded next season as well regardless of whether MJ Rice ever sets foot on campus. A starting line up in 22-23 with Harris, Yesufu, Dick, Clemence, and McCormack is going to be one of the best in the country next season. If Rice does come, then swap Rice for Clemence because I think Rice would be the 4 over Dick in that line up as Self would go small ball.

Livingston cut KU. Was hoping KU could find a top 15 talent in this class but it’s not going to happen. Livingston was once considered a KU lean but not sure what happened.

@Woodrow I think a lot of schools backed off assuming he would go pro. He mentioned in an article awhile back that some schools weren’t even talking to him anymore.

you sure that’s still on ? read off TOS this morning he dropped KU – - edited My Bad Farmer , just went back and rechecked TOS it wasn’t Miller that dropped us - - it was Bates. Hell I didn’t even realize that we were EVER in the conversation for that kid.
You know at this point who all has planned to visit for Late Night ?

ya that’s a pretty loaded group. - - Think we have a legit shot at Griffin We already got Dick , - - -Think no chance for Mitchell well next to none, I dunno sounds like UCLA 1st or Duke 2nd - have no idea about Jackson. Would be nice if we could get the 2023 kid to visit for late night has already come an un official I believe his name escapes me right now 6’10 pretty skinny kid but really good talk of him as a top 10 kid would be nice to get him back for late night.

Oh ya for sure. That’s gonna be just about like the Kentucky game - -gonna blow the roof off in those games. - -I remember when my brother & I went to a KU/UK game and you could forget trying to say anything during that game he was right next to me and couldn’t hear a word he would try to say lol

I went a checked as I had mentioned this kid for late night. He has un-offically visited but would love to have him for late night. - -2023 kid 6’10 currently ranked 43rd overall BUT 32nd in composite. Bossi said he has been in line for a big boost and pushing for 5 * = could up being in the top 10 - -his name is Matas Buzeles

Yeah he’s at my buddy’s school Brewster Academy this yr so hopefully I’ll have some intel here. Needs to put on a lot of weight at his size. Film doesn’t immediately say top 10 kind of player but not sure how deep 23 class is
