Doesn"t seem we have an offensive identity that we can establish. They’re basically denying the ball to Vick and cant see that we tried all half to really get that going.

Hopefully the Seth Davis story of Silvio getting cleared for next Saturday ends up being accurate. His rebounding ability is desperately needed because this is a bad rebounding team.

First defense was solid tonight, just gave up too many put backs and didn’t make shots.

Lack of an offense and lack of rebounding were the killers tonight.

We just don’t have the players to compete with teams who have multiple good bigs. Travis and Washington dictated and dominated the game.

Our winning streak against the blue bloods is over.

Bill Self still hasnt adjusted to outside in mentality. Runnign stuff for Vick now when its too late. Instead, drive ball or get into Lawson. meanwhile, on the ranch, UK packs in and makes it difficult for us.
If he can make that mental switch. We’d have started with lots of action for Vick and brought their defense out, then pushed in and drive woudl have been more effective

Just need Dedric to use teammates when doubled, someone has to be open. He had solid line but tried to do too much with wild shots and was beaten badly on the glass for easy points for UK.

I don’t think we run enough action on the perimeter…we did late and Vick ended up with 10 but waaayyyy tooooo laaattte.
Get that going earlier in the half and the rest of the game plan opens up.
Is that on Vick or Self? I put it on Self cause he can call the action and the plays!

I realize most on this don’t think Calipari can coach - and I despise the guy - but they forced Dedric to have to defend all game long and constantly got it to the right guy on switches to take advantage of mismatches. We didn’t adjust…

I agree. At the same time, though, our guards aren’t good passers and and routinely throw each other bad passes. Add in that Vick and Grimes both don’t look to turn the corner on drives and we are just easy to defend.
