Ok simple

  • Ok guys, here it is the night before a Big decision tomorrow. SVI announces tomorrow he staying or is gone. So I want to hear from the group here pretty simple it can be just one word. Is SVI coming back OR is he gone, so let it begin tell me - -Stay or Go? - -I’ll start

He Goes. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • Leaves, and joins Perry in Australia.

  • Comes back to finish degree and other unfinished business, i.e. national title.

  • Svi wants to go. He’ll be back though. If not there would be rumblings of Self still recruiting for this season.

  • I think he goes as well, kinda split on whether its the right decision or not. I understand Wayne leaving because he wasn’t gonna improve. Svi on the other hand i think could improve his slashing, defense and be more consistent shooting. Most media outlets think this is the best draft class in several years and I agree. To the people saying he can’t improve, he is listed on draft express as #28 pick in the 2018 draft and not listed in 2017 draft. All of us know bye now that a first rounder is guaranteed a contract, unlike a second rounder. I also have no idea what his families financial situation is and if it would play a factor. Good Luck to Svi in whatever choice he makes and lets not hate or insult him for his decision.

  • @jayballer54

    I vote “I Dunno.”

If he were sure to be drafted high enough to jump, he would already have announced.

If there were no interest in drafting him, then he would have announced.

Inference: interest in drafting him is contingent on other prospects preferred over him deciding not to go pro.

Therefore, since I don’t know anything about who is ahead of him, and what they will do, I can only conclude: I dunno.

  • I’ll vote stay on the logic some have expressed about why schedule a “go” decision.

  • I think he goes and honestly I’m gonna be mad about it because he makes KU a lot better by staying. We’ve seen most people in his position come back from other schools so it’s going to sting if he stays in and doesn’t get picked in June. I hope I’m wrong

  • I don’t want to jinx his decision so I won’t say.

  • Stays

  • And did you say ‘one word’? LOL Look at everyone! ha ha ha ha

  • Guys taking their decision to the wire. Predictions for those deciding today…

    Svi- Stays in

Tony Bradley (UNC)- Returns to School

Vince Edwards (Purdue) - Stays In

Caleb Swanigan (Purdue) - Stays In

DJ Wilson (Michigan) - Stays In

Moritz Wagner (Michigan) - Returns to School

Jonathan Williams (Gonzaga) - Returns to School

Hamidou Diallo (Kentucky) - Stays In

Omer Yurtseven ( NC St) - Returns to School

Shaqquan Aaron (USC) - Stays In

    Tacko Fall (UCF)- Stays In

  • @TRUBLUE Lol, ya I did but hey it’s all good, cause still got the answer. - - Love this room, maybe today will turn out and surprise me - -Maybe SVI does say he is coming back. Doubt it BUT never say never.

I’ve just said from the beginning that I thought he was gone. - -Some seem to think if he comes back, he will take this huge jump - -I on the other hand just don’t see it. I just can’t invision where him returning is going to improve his draft status that much for the next draft. -SVI is not going to improve THAT much by returning to go from not being listed by most drafts - -having most NBA insiders telling him to return to school - - - to being a 1st round pick. @nd round eh - -probably but as we all know 2nd round is a no guaurantee contract. I feel SVI is just about where he will always be as for as his NBA ceiling, - -2nd round middle probably.

I just feel what happens is he will stay in, probably struggle through the D league for a season - -Or he will return back home.

I just got this feel that SVI just plain DOES NOT want to return to KU for another year. - I mean with him making such a statement to the likes of if he thinks ANYBODY will draft him chances are he will stay in? – That right there tells me he really doesn’t have a whole lot of interest in returning, he settling for middle 2nd round - bottom of 2nd round just as long as SOMEBODY is willing to draft him 2nd round or not he probably stays. That doesn’t sound very promising for KU. Like has been mentioned, with the people we have on the roster I don’t feel he would be able to stand out enough to improve his status that much. - -I have just thought even as soon as the Season was over he was done. He said from the beginning before he even stepped on campus that he was here for 2-3 years tops. Time to move on and wish SVI nothing but the best - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • @BeddieKU23 Read this morning Bradley staying in the draft will hire an agent.

Interesting also read that Cam Johnsons transfer was blocked I believe by the NCAA to UNC. I think he is a grad transfer from Pitt.

People talking saying not sure because of it being an in conference school whether it was the NCAA blocking, OR the conference blocking - -OR it was Pitt blocking. - -Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • @jayballer54

    Nice! I’m already 0-1, hopefully 0-2 involves Svi…

Bradley not coming back pegs UNC about 10-15 spots down the pre-season list. One proven forward and 3 freshman ranked outside the top 100…

  • @jayballer54

I have to disagree with you. There is very little downside to Svi coming back and a lot more upside. Svi will now know what the scouts think are the weaknesses in his game and he can work next season in improving them while at the same time completing his degree, something I understand is big with his family. Also, this is a pretty loaded draft while next year is a lot weaker and I have seen where he is already projected to be a first round pick.

We have seen parts of his game but we have yet to see him put it all together, something he has a good chance of doing if he comes back. I understand he is a good student and if he is close to completing his degree, he might choose to go pro and finish his degree on line.

  • Stay.

  • @JayHawkFanToo Well in a matter of hours we will see. - I HOPE I am wrong, would love to be. - - BUT I’m just getting this feeling he is not really interested in returning to KU. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • Source of Ukrainian basketball Federation are saying Svyatoslav Mikhailiyuk is close to get draft-promise from one NBA team.

    he gone

  • Mo Wagner of Michigan returning to school

  • Diallo of Kentucky is returning. This will make the Svi decision even more sickening if he stays in

What in the world. Well, I don’t think he honestly changes much for UK, slightly more depth but he is an ultrabricker.

Adds more depth and insane athletic ability though. Alexander and Baker can come off the bench… scary lineup combos

  • @BeddieKU23 yeah theyll be loaded again. What we really need for next year is another wing player.

They added Knox, they are just being greedy adding anyone else.

Lots of roster in-balance and the youngest team in Kentucky History. I don’t think this batch of freshman are game-changers though. Guys coming off the bench could actually be their best players in the long run

  • @BeddieKU23 Going to have some serious growing pains, but come March they are always a threat to go the distance.

Defensively, my goodness. The things they could do if everyone buys in… Terrifying.

  • Man. - -whz up with SVI? - -I mean getting late in the afternoon and yet still no announcement - that we are aware of anyways. - Very well could be, he has told Coaching staff earlier, but they just gonna wait and turn it loose later.

I really feel with hearing nothing just means that much more worse case scenario for us. - - UNLESS he is REALLY STRUGGLIN or as was stated earlier today that according to some foreign sources he is really close to having some NBA club saying they will draft him - -and he just waiting to get that final word from them. - -ALOT of underclassman deciding to return. - That might be a good thing for us, SVI seeing all these others coming back. but DAM wish he would just come out and say. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • I think he goes.

  • He must be waiting for some info from various pro leagues besides the NBA - I’m sure he knows now what the scoop is with advice concerning the NBA.

  • Anybody have his number?

  • @KUSTEVE Don’t like the silence. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • @jayballer54 If he was coming back, I think he would’ve said something by now.

  • @KUSTEVE Ya I agree for sure. - The silence is telling me he IS NOT coming. - -He would of told us by now if he was - -will probably some little press release late tonight. - -ROCK CHALK AL DAY LONG BABY

  • Wow he’s backkkk

  • @BeddieKU23 Ya and I have a huge dose of I told you so Crow for supper lol. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • Not really surprised. Seems like the most logical decision.
