East Coast screws KU again chat.

I just don’t see a logic argument for having a strategy to be behind most of the game and trying to pull it out at the end and think that can win in March.
Sure it can. And every time it happens it is magic. And magic usually wins it all in March.
But can we count on magic for 6 games?
I’d rather have us count on magic just once or twice.

End of the press WVU conference with Huggy & two players. ESPN announcer says “Sadness, Party of 3. Your table is ready.”

@BShark His team plays football and he whines about free throws. Give me a break.
Yeah I’m not even sure Huggy wants MCDAA at this point. They play 10 guys double digit minutes on average this year. Thugball.

I like this post from WV board:
The problem seems to go full circle back to a question I asked after one of our early losses. Will other teams press us? Most folks laughed it off. Said we’re a pressing team. Won’t work. We are absolutely dreadful at inbounding against the press. We are not 3-6 in close games but nearly gave A&M away too.
How about Landen with two huge plays in the press? We could roll out that press a little more
Enhhhh this team doesn’t have the depth to press. Guys would foul out too much.
-
I could be wrong but I though he said…we cannot send a player so many times to the line and expect to win…or words to that effect.
-
@drgnslayr fully agree that we should be beating teams by more but I’ll take wins. The blow outs just are not coming this year. This is not a great KU team. Not an 07, 08, 11 level squad. It’s more like a 2012 team and that team clawed their way to a Championship game. I see a lot of that team in this years squad.
-
@JayHawkFanToo he said that also
-
@drgnslayr No, KU will not win in March going down double digits, but that 2012 team came from behind in at least 3 of the games that tournament and damn near did it against a Kentucky team that wiped the floor with KU early in the year.
-
Maybe. I wouldn’t mind seeing Bill play with it more in general. It was damn good.

He did, but in the context of them getting only 29 FTs compared to our over 40 even tho we were fouling on purpose. Said it was even bigger disparity b/c of that. No reason to mention disparity if he just thought they fouled us too much.

@JayHawkFanToo Once again bro me too!!

@truehawk93 I’m not eating crow

@KUSTEVE Memphis & misery all I recall better since HCBS been here…memories of Roy, Larry & Texx are starting to fade…

@KUSTEVE This is why we expect to win- THIS IS KANSAS BASKETBALL DAMNIT !!!

Frankly, their forum does not feel any different than ours. Some band wagon fans and some solid and well reasoned posts.

I hope the “leaving losers” weren’t allowed back in.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Agreed tex Those 2 are hands down the other best that this old geezer recalls, but there were a couple back in the 60’s with Jo Jo & Walt Wesley that were PDG too…Great to be able to share more with other generations. This is a special legacy that no other school will ever have. This is KANSAS BASKETBALL !! RCJHGOKU !!!

Good luck beverage
Same stuff I’ve been sippin’ lately. Good taste.
Have you tried single malt 12 or 15 year Scotch? More expensive, but soooooo smooth! Incidentally, I picked up a bottle of a special reserve limited production Evan Williams bourbon (this particular type not sold in the US) in St. Maarten last year on a cruise. Absolutely the best. Gave it to my brother for coming to take care of Mom, but he left it here because he flew. Yee ha!
-
@mayjay Not fond of scotch. Think it has to do with a not so pleasant encounter back in hs. Just can’t take the taste. I’m saving my pennies now for a bottle of Crown XR. My son won a bottle on the Clemson/Bama game it’s great. Of course as expensive as it is it will be a special ocassion drink, such as #13, FF, NC, Royals WS and so on.
