Computers had this as a three point win so they should love this one. Of course we had more data without Darryn than with him so I'm sure that skewed things.

Just wanted to say this , I think the guys did pretty darn good when Darryn was out, However I think when Darryn is playing the ball just moves so much quicker- - -smoother, the ball just doesn't stick AT SLL. -- -Flory and Bryson seem to be able play smoother, the team get's out and runs better, still proud how we done while DP was out but sure glad to see him back ROCK CHALK

The better team won. misery had a lead for a little while because they dominated the glass. They were able to get 2nd/3rd chance points, frustrate us into playing tight, and keep us from having the ball. But then we remembered how to rebound and it was over.

+2 spots to #17, O +5, D +2 after game. Missouri isn't good but it was a good game for metrics and such

misery's on-ball defense was excellent but their off-ball defense was terrible. I think that was a calculated trade-off that was part of a high-risk high-reward gameplan. I would have liked to see us do a slightly better job exploiting this (splitting double teams and finding the open man). In this game it didn't matter but our offense could become much better if we learn to adapt and exploit schemes designed to limit DP

@Jayhawk_69 I think a lot of teams will start doing this so they are going to need to figure it out fast. It should lead to a lot of wide open shots.

I sure didn't mind watching "DP lite" go off for 17 points. Wow... just coming back, battling a bug, and still offered us an upgrade!
I think our bigs, Tiller and Bodooongo (sarcasm), need to give us a lot more punch, especially on offense. Tiller needs to drive the paint, and Baduunga should run more pick and roll, and less back-to-the-basket stuff.
Tre was back in beast form... and then Fran criticized him like he wasn't a big catch for us in the portal. What a schmuck.
#1 stat... sticking out big time... Tre 13 rebounds! And man can he draw fouls!
Melvin... still learning how to be most effective, but getting there.
Kohl... not many minutes left for Kohl. He'll have to battle for those minutes on and off the court to get them back. That's a good thing!
Elmarko... stay positive, dude, and bring the mojo!
Overall - we started slow but that's usually when we play our best games. I'm a happy Jayhawk!

I kind of miss Kohl's energy and rebounding but he can't buy a made field goal and we just have older and better players ahead of him. I hope he gets his moment in the sun next year or two years from now.

I want to shoutout the coaching staff for playing Paul Mbiya 3 minutes in the first half. That is what got Flory and Tiller to get their acts together.

@drgnslayr White as a guard getting a lot of boards and not just this game shows a player who is not afraid to stick his nose in where the rough places are.

Jamari’s comfort level seems to be growing rapidly. Fewer bad passes, more good passes, and shooting with confidence when open. Quality 6th man.

This team doesn't mess around and looks serious all the time. They don't seem uptight at all and play heads up defense. I watched Tiller all game and he was hustling and doesn't give ground in the paint. Elmarko is a wild card to an opposing defense he's sneaky fast and fearless. He's very athletic and I think his shots will start falling. Jamari is an asset as a 6th man. He can defend about anywhere and now his shot is swishy. Flory goes along doing his job and wham he can take over. Other centers find out he is no push over real quick and there is none who can keep up with his agility and quickness on the blocks and he can score on you at any time and go get lobs like crazy. Tiller and Flory both weren't ready for a couple of deep drives and quick passes from DP. It looked like DP got tired and it was to be expected. He is lightning quick and will burn you from deep, mid range and layups. Three of his lay ups where like how did he do that. Melvin you just keep on putting pressure on their guards. He is not just quick he is down right faster than ya'll. This could become a nightmare team on both ends and glory be Jayden Dawson our 6'5" 205' guard made a three which is his specialty and being a senior should be able to figure it out. We have a long rest before NCST and I'm not sure is a true home court for them in a Raleigh venue. If we can beat them then we have two kinda cup cakes and our first five conference games whether away or home are winnable until ISU in Ames. I hope we are rolling by then. It may be a dream but 15-3 warms me all over. If i'm that warm I will get sweet snuggles all night from my love.
