Me: bounceback border war game. We come juiced and at some point hit a 4 or 5 minute dry spell, but we play with urgency and end up smacking them by double digits.

I need to see Elmarko reiterate his ability to contribute (and not be a liability). It's gonna take a couple back-to-back outings like he had at Tennessee to reassure this armchair coach.

I could be wrong... but I'm thinking Elmarko is the only one on our team (and maybe on both teams) that understands this rivalry and what it means to both schools.
After seeing him become a one-man wrecking crew against Tenn I know he has it in him to go f some teams up if he is inspired to. (actually, he got Melvin going, too)

Peterson is my hawk to rock for Sunday. DP returns and drops 35 points as the Jayhawks coast to an easy victory. Council implements a jump stop and makes 75% of his shots at the hoop while Tiller regains form from distance hitting 3 treys on tiggers. Bill Self has jokes at the press conference about last seasons loss in Columbia, that the smell didn’t bother the team it was the burning of their eyes effecting the game in that cage they call a gym.

It's the only time I ever heard my father swear. This was the attitude circa 1940 to 1960. I lived it, and I was there in Memorial Stadium in 1960 for the KU v MU game when the field was surrounded by highway patrolmen with German Shepherds. TRUE! Later, when I was a junior in high school, Dad said, " Son, I want you to know that you may attend any college or university in the country. I wouldn't have a problem with Sunflower State solidarity but the thing is, its a 2-way street. K-State needs to be classier as a program and as a fanbase. Their players need to not attack our players and their band needs to not arrange displays of our mascots performing sex acts.

I see old friend Mark Mitchell still at Methzu and is their leading scorer. Will be his super bowl game once again.
Key to this one seems to be keeping Crews from scoring efficiently. He's 9/20 from 3 last two games and it's all he really does. Big game for White/Tiller to keep him from going off.

Yes, K-State is obsessed with us, but no true KU fan cares about K-State that much. But all true KU fans loathe misery scum.

KSU is on an island. There only rivalry is with us. Meanwhile... we have developed history and relevance with many programs, creating a rivalry relationship. We have rivalries with Mizzou, KSU, several blue blood programs, small rivalries with other B12 teams, like ISU, etc etc etc.
KSU has us. lol

It's the suffering part of being a Jayhawk... with hopeful relief on Sunday afternoon, followed by ecstasy, followed by a year of not having to think of this again until it's back on the radar.

@drgnslayr I’m still mad we didn’t show up til 8 minutes to go in Columbia last season. A senior led team that had no desire to fight but just roll over when the game was on the line.
