MSU doesn’t deserve to be in this Champions Classic. UConn of course would be the worthy replacement and even Villanova and their success would make them more of a champions classic team. But, the school of Magic and Mateen and March success puts them in the game.
We generally breathe a sigh of relief when we get them in the Classic compared to the other two. We have a 3 game win streak against them and an 8-7 margin in wins-losses. Generally we’ve held the upper hand in national prominence over them for quite some time as the distance between championships lengthens.
Izzo has seen some interesting interactions with his players in recent years with players seemingly annoyed by his interactions with them. I’m wondering if the E. Lansing faithful are getting impatient with him.
The last time we played Ochai announced to the world that he was going to end the season as a champion. He filled it up with 29 points. We won rather easily and we all began salivating at the possibilities for the season.
Tonight we should prevail. Gonna be 78-70. Good guys.

@wissox I like the 78 points as a winner. MSU always seems to play on the edge of dirty and tries intimidation. So far the KU guys seem really focused on themselves and are talking to each other. Now Hunter will go in as the bad guy. He seems really aware of his team during the games and he would use any crap to his advantage.

I sure don’t like the NBA style of giving the best courtside seats to about 20 fans. That leaves the end of the player benches watching from far away from the court. Talk about insult to injury: watching your team from 20 feet from the court.
