ZACH CLEMENCE COMING BACK?

The article recently released by the KC Star was kind of weird. His mom hinted he could redshirt and then transfer if things don’t go right. Also mentioned he was going to play the 4 at UCSB and get the offense built around him.

If things don’t go right we’ll be happy to see him transfer I think. Again, I don’t see him as a P5 guy without him putting in just a shit ton of work. I don’t think it is necessarily basketball skill holding him back as much as just not being athletic enough for this level of basketball. Only complete and total dedication to changing his body and how it moves will get him on the court at the P5 level.

@Kcmatt7 Agreed he has really slow feet and not real powerful or able to get off the floor. When he doesn’t hit some three’s to offset his defensive liabilities he’s a double negative.
Great practice body though to have and hopefully this helps him improve.

@BShark You can’t be serious. Dude was so fun loving on the bench always smiling and hamming it up even when he wasn’t playing big minutes.
That being said hope Hunter takes him to school twice this year

Is he though? If he was initially under the impression that Hunter was only going to be here for a year like most of us were, then it sounded like he was going to be willing to wait his turn. But when it started sounding more and more like it would be two years waiting behind Hunter, then Udeh changed his tune and I don’t blame him one bit for not wanting to wait until he’s senior year to start at Kansas while not really getting to play big minutes either.

I do not think Udeh is a snake. A lot of people in the kids ear. Give him a break.
By every other measure the guy was a great player for us a year ago and I really wish he was still on the roster.

I was getting a bit argumentative with crims. The truth is between how she was portraying him and a snake. I can see his point of view on the matter.

Parker is better than him right now and I think it’s kind of crazy that some people don’t realize that.
This is definitely his last chance at KU. Even redshirting he will need to do things the right way, and show improvement.

You know what I think is crazy ? - I think what’s really crazy is if these kids are so bad non talented not on KU level is then the KU Coaching Staff must be some real looney tunes , because they are the one’s who recruited these kids to KU in the 1st place. - -Now what the hell is wrong with that picture. Maybe we ought to have some people go switch places with the Staff - we wouldn’t lose a game

I have seen Parker play and it doesn’t surprise me that he is better than Zach at this point. Santa Clara was a good team and Parker was a significant contributor. He knows situational basketball and may not have Zach’s ceiling, but certainly should be able to be an asset in practice and games.

Correct. But from talking to a friend of mine that worked at Sunrise who talked to Zach the other day, it sounds like his head is in the right place now. Bill is giving him one last chance, I hope it works out.

It’s stinks because Udeh had a high ceiling. If he thinks he’s OAD caliber he needs a drug test. Can’t shoot from more than 3 feet away from hoop, that sure translates in the NBA today lol. I heard he asked for guaranteed start and more NIL money. Not sure how many times Ive mentioned issue with getting the wrong advice from the wrong person here. Someone’s daddy or AAU coach says you’re MJ or LeBron. Then you get woke up by the real world slapping you in the face.

That is definitely the talk. I also heard not entertaining taking him back was about not wanting to set precedent. Re-negotiations happen all the time, but don’t enter the portal.
