I have to agree with you - - That was a foul

Another case of the calls evening out. We got one when we needed it.
-
At the half we had 9 or 10 TO’s, i forget which, but we only had 12 at the end of the game and that’s really a key to this comeback.
-
That is the fact Jack!
-
KJ is 6’6’’ and starting at the 5 for KU and playing well. Anything is possible.

11 actually, which means only 1 in the 2nd half

Shouldn’t come to that. - -Just another time where your gonna hear a lot of others say - - typical Allen Field House home cookin game shouldn’t have game down to that, we got lucky, but oh well call it a win and move on
-
I would argue with you about kevins block not being clean but app still sucks, couldnt rewind to check
-
Ok watching now
-
Great way to wrap up the year. Would’ve hated to pop the cork tonight with a L in the back of my mind.

Next!

He seems to have perfected that little push shot from about 5 feet away from the basket. Seems like it always goes in

Two road games next, Tech and WVU. Never easy in this conference.
-
Block looked clean to me. Sure got an elbow to the face after he blocked it.
-
Have a safe New Year’s Eve and a healthy New Year. I’ll take 14 from KJ every game! Lots to look forward to in 2023. Happy 300th Win HCBS
-
Speaking of the Conference, TCU just got a Pick Six against Michigan !

His passing is likely underrated by most as well. One of the best passing bigs we have played under Self.
-
Only 1 to 2nd half?
-
Two I think
-
What an amazing 2022 for KU.
-
Saw some people comparing KJ to Jamari. We can stop that right now.
-
Every OSU fan and neutral fan who wanted KU to lose will fixate on that block that could have been called a foul but will ignore things like the most obvious moving screen in the world to free up Bryce Thompson for a 3 that put OSU up 64-62.
And then when we play at Oklahoma St later this season that controversial block will probably be replayed giving the impression that we had some huge officiating advantage because the game was at AFH.

Agreed. He tried to force a few today on the baseline but usually that pass will be there. Oklahoma St plays good defense.
-
@BShark yeah it’s not even a comparison at this point. He’s a totally different and better player and will only continue to improve.
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich Boynton is the best coach we have went up against since…honestly… Ricky?

Also, make or miss game blahblahblah but I have a hard time seeing Bryce going 7-10 from three again this year. UGLY shot but he was playing out of his mind today.

No bad coaches in the B12 now that Weber is gone. I was trying to rank them all the other day and was having trouble with it.

Kyle Boone of CBS Sports is already having fits over the call. Gimme a break!

I can’t either BShark. - -I bet he won’t do that again this year. - -Seems like every year we have some opposing guy just play out his a - - way over his head - - UGLY UGLY SHOT
-
We had more fouls. They shot more free throws and more 3’s. Most people who aren’t Kansas fans just want to see us lose.
-
TCU up 14 – - 0 over Michigan
-
Genuinely shocking.
-
KJ Adams had 14 points. He is our 5 guy.

A lot of game left but TCU has a good defense, a good QB, and good skill position players. They are definitely legit.
-
Bryce has been playing pretty good the last 3-4 games. Not this good, but surprised me when I saw that. Thinks he’s a badass shoving guards off of him!

It was a foul. The block itself was clean, but the body contact should’ve been called. These refs were just really inconsistent with what was or wasn’t a foul throughout the game and that was really frustrating to me.

Billy Eugene’s lab
-
Boynton didn’t complain about calls, he’s a classy guy. I like him. Said he wouldn’t want to ref. Probably my next favorite coach in big 12
-
@Crimsonorblue22 hmm! Impressive
-
I get really sick of hearing about Marcus smarts flip on our court!
-
Skkehdhdklskdhddpdhgqksosg that dude
-
@BeddieKU23 I’d rather talk about his FLOPS!
-
The Jayhawks’ final record in 2022: 36-5 with one national championship.
-
I fear we may have a season where our guys are too complacent going into games. It’s hard to followup a National Championship year as it is hard to stay motivated while we take the best shot from everyone.
Our first half energy level was horrible. Our second half energy was better, but still was not jacked up… just better. The incremental difference made the game score change dramatically because when we have high energy we are capable of beating anyone, including blowing out anyone. But when we come out with subpar energy we could lose to just about anyone.
I hope this isn’t what we should expect moving forward, mostly because this team has plenty of talent and capability to defend and move the ball like very few teams we have ever had.
Not sure where our defense went (especially in the first half) but we sure are missing those steals that end in run outs!
I suspect Self will be on them heavy for this performance… as he should be.
But… at least we got the win and these kinds of wins are crucial as we get the “W” while also making it a learning experience.
Kudos to OSU and Thompson for maintain good composure and bringing game!
KJ has such a soft touch in mid-range. He definitely is establishing himself as an offensive weapon. He is playing smart to go right up with shots in the paint instead of coming down and setting up for shots (bound to get blocked by taller players).
Gradey’s two offensive boards were crucial in this victory and lead to made treys… but in many ways he is being exposed as a freshman now until he figures out how to get the right shot off for his treys. Now is when he could really use the help of some NBA shooters. Like how he mentioned Steph Curry… he would be a great one to learn from… even watching his tape should be helpful.

Agree it was a foul. That said, almost no team is getting that call on the road in that spot.
