Hopefully, our champions have a surprise for the #9 WV hacks this evening at 6:30 on ESPN2. I don't know what the -166 means, but WV is favored.

That was a crazy game early on, held on by a hair many times before they blew it open late. Very tight game most of the way.

Pitching definitely got out of some jambs in that one, good to see and looks like we have a mojo back heading into the tournament.

Beautiful throws from the outfield to home to nail runners! Turned 1 out w/bases loaded into 3 outs 2times! D was fantastic! Then we took all hope from them in the 7th!

Just had to take a minute and put my two cents worth- - - - well possibly a nickels worth OR maybe a dime's worth if I really stretch it , lol .
Anyways what a great game last night, KU was playing with fire last night and yet came up with HUGE really good defensive plays in critical situations. Every time I turned around seemed like WV ha runners on the base path thought to myself oh CRAP they bout ready to bust this game open , and yet NOPE KU would make some great plays to get out of it.
I wonder some I wonder if some people just don't quite grasp what a huge win this was for KU last night. I hadn't realized till the announcers said that WV had the top ERA in the conference yet not only that but also top TEN in the Nation in ERA. Ranked # 9 in the Nation also- -just a solid club all the wat around. Great defense themselves , but the Boys showed them some aluminum - -keep it going guys -let the Nation know we are KU and from Lawrence ROCK CHALK -

KU is the 14 seed hosting Northeastern Friday at 12. Arkansas and Mo. State are tthe other 2 teams in the regional. Not thrilled to see Arkansas in KU's region given how KU has done against them in the postseason in various sports in recent years.

@nuleafjhawk the Royals have been a huge disappointment lucky with all the streaming crap I can only watch a few games. It was so nice when they were on Fox sports Midwest. I’ve decided I’m not buying anymore streaming stuff so if it’s not on espn plus or sling I ain’t watching.

@Texas-Hawk-10 I thought the seeding was a little strange so you have KU B12 double champs behind an 8th place SEC team. I get the SEC is dominant in baseball winning I believe 7 of the last 8 World Series but my god that seems suspect.

I think they actually ended up with the 15 seed. Way lower than I was expecting. Big12 was not treated favorably. I thought KU should be in the 12-13 seed range, certainly ahead of Nebraska who they went 2-0 against this year in head-to-head. I also thought TCU should have been safely in the tournament but the committee elected to put Kentucky in who only won 2 weekend series in the entire SEC season.
KU has a tough group of teams in their regional, highest overall average RPI of any regional. Then if they win it they likely have Ga Tech waiting. It won't be easy, they just need to do their thing and win. Hopefully a few upsets along the way make the path easier if possible.
