Hard to believe but the 2026 season is well underway and KU not off to a great start this year. Overall record is 11-8 and lost to several teams I would have expected they'd beat. Barring a big turnaround, not looking like they'll be participating in the post season. The Big12 in general looks down this year as the only current ranked team is West Virginia. Hopefully the warmer weather turns things around.

It was rarely a team that was projected to win it all. It's a bit strange to think of baseball being so streaky given that it's not a single-game elimination tournament.

But different teams match up differently. It almost looked we played scared to me the pitchers had zero command and confidence, the batting was much of the same. Its another when you get beat and you know you know we're so much better than showed. Supers have been ugly top to bottom thus far for KU. Its technically not over yet, and if they somehow pull this off - it could be a movie-type story line.
