@Gorilla72 football season will be here soon

Don’t you put that hell on us hahaha
-
@bskeet An and-1 would have been great, but drawing the foul and making 2 free throws and allowing us to set-up the press wouldn't have been awful in that situation.

I know ESPN makes it a point to show Hurley freaking out on the sideline between every play but it's absolutely 100% cringe to watch his behavior. It just looks so classless and isn't a good look. I guess ESPN was making it a thing to show his freak outs for some reason. I bet UConn fans don't even want to see it. You can't tell me this behavior doesn't impact how the refs call the game.

Shades of seizure boy known as Bruce Weber, he’s still the only coach to contact an opposing player and not get a tech that I’ve ever seen.
-
I agree, it does remind me of Weber. Had kind of forgot about him but now that you mentioned it I cannot unsee it.
Nobody wants to watch that behavior on TV and I'm really not sure why ESPN was blatantly showing his every freak out.
-
Without coach K and Boeheim someone had to be the worlds most punchable coach
-
He above the Dukie yet?
-
@BeddieKU23 Scheyer is at least a reserved dipshit who doesnt seem to think hes the cleverest SOB on the planet. I appreciate that he seems to understand that he sucks at public speaking and says the most vanilla things he possibly can. He is loathsome like a busted rusty shovel used by the mafia to
bury bodies is loathsome, a tool that serves a dark purpose. Hurley’s self satisfaction is off the charts. He is.. the most punchable coach. -
I find Shaka Smart pretty punchable. Was Jalen Wilson the KU player he was talking shit to a couple of years ago? He's a smug douchebag. Glad he's not in our conference any more.
-
I felt like we should have won. It seems we went a little soft in the second half. UCONN wanted it more.
We really need more out of Tiller. I'm thinking I'd cut into his minutes and give Elmarko more time. He's starting to play much better and he needs all the positive reinforcement he can get!
-
Couldn't disagree and when Tiller plays he needs to be as aggressive as Elmarko
-
A Tiller 3 is basically a turnover. He needs to play big.

I was thinking of this!I love this story!
-
@crimsonorblue22 Thanks, I don't think I had heard that one.
-
I remembered the game but couldn’t think of who was involved. Had some help. Naughty boys got even!

-
Bringing the heat today! That was perfectly said.
-
@tundrahok be fun to beat his a$$ this yr!

This is a pretty accurate look at Hurley:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=me8cMqSvpEQ
I do see him as a savant, a lunatic, and often, a dickhead.
He shows us all... that we need to have more in our life than basketball. Dan does not. Someday he will be recognized as one of the basketball coaching greats... from his mental ward.
Two years ago, I made an absolute fortune picking UCONN winning the nattie... so I can't say even worse things about him.

I read on another post somewhere the concerns of a Jayhawk fan, who stated, "what bothers me is our homecourt advantage seems to be slipping away. Teams come into AFH now and have confidence they can leave with a win." I concur, totally.
What has changed? Is it Self? Has he become softer since facing illnesses? Is it the crowds? Becoming more passive and quiet? Or is it opposing teams are just tougher? Maybe we are playing more competitive teams now at home? What about our own team... are we as competitive as we used to be?
I put most of the blame on our own teams. Since we've started losing more at home, we are also losing more often away, too.
If you went back a few years ago... I feel like any of those teams would have won this UCONN game. Being close down the stretch used to always spell victory in the old days.
Why was that? My perspective is that we had more players that were true Jayhawks. They bought in to the legendary status of Kansas basketball. They walked the halls and they read the history and why it is so important to maintain tradition. And Kansas tradition was to WIN IN AFH!
Maybe I'm spouting nonsense... too much caffeine this morning! lol
