BTW, not to derail the Chiefs thread, but there are some good shows to try out on Amazon Video. Movies, too. Maybe worth a month to see if any are worth it for you. I’m about to start the new Alex Cross detective show. sounds good. The first season of Reacher was great (the second not so much). Gen V is outrageously gory but fun. Plus they have a bunch of old classic TV series if you’re into it. Just watched Eureka. So, maybe worth a free trial to see if you enjoy it. Plus the Thursday night football of course.

Penalties are already taking a toll

This game looks so typical of the Chiefs-move the ball well between the 20s, but can’t score TDs and have to settle for FGs.

Aren’t the Chiefs near the bottom in Red Zone rankings? Sometimes the play callers just get too complicated with all the twists and turns.

Who was it that was giving me jazz a few weeks ago saying the Chiefs had one of the best lines in the game? He sure looks like a fool these last few weeks, once again the worst tackles in the NFL

I sure don’t understand the 10 sec runoff. What did the Chiefs do wrong?

@stoptheflop Nothing, but the refs stopped the clock for the review. The runoff is because the refs stopping the clock to make sure of a call is not supposed to unfairly aid a team with no timeouts. If we had a timeout, we could have used it to keep 14 secs.

@stoptheflop right so because the refs stopped the clock not being sure if he caught it. Which he did, we are going to penalize them. Which is silly because they could’ve ran a play and got to closer for the FG attempt

@mayjay right but it wouldn’t have taken 10 seconds to get up to the line 8 yards ahead of where they were.

I feel like the raiders play outside their minds against us. The last few years if they played that way the other 16 games, they’d be a playoff team

that seemed totally ridiculous. why penalize the Chiefs in that situation? makes zero sense.

This is a bit of a weird game. The Chiefs have been awesome against the run this year, but the Raiders are adding up the rushing yards.

I think some of that is because Mahomes doesn’t have the time to see how Kelce is going to react while Mahomes is running for his life.

@AsadZ first time all game you have success running it and you decide to throw it. The clock goes below 2 minutes if you run and of course Mahomes has to rush the throw while getting smoked for the 30th time today

I honestly think the refs panicked and didn’t know what to do. It wasn’t an illegal formation that I saw. The only question is if they blew it dead before Reid recovered but the keyboard warriors will have a field day with this.

That was a very confusing ending. The ball was snapped before the Raiders were set. QB wasn’t even looking but said he clapped his hands too early. If they weren’t set, it should have been a false start. But Illegal Formation? Did KC decline it?

@Gorilla72 It was an illegal shift. Multiple guys were in motion when the ball was snapped. False start stops the play from beginning. The penalty was declined because we got the fumble.
