We look unbeatable at home and then like we can’t win on the road (even when fully healthy)
March is going to either expose this team or show they are tough and can get it done

I’d say featuring Timberlake on offense isn’t the answer. This team is super shallow. KJ needs to be more assertive.

@kuballin10 Tough unfortunately isn’t a word used to describe teams that can’t win on the road. We have several close calls at home one of which to East Illinois or some crap school like that.

@dylans The answer has and will always be Juan going into UK score mode. If he does that from the tip in games we will dominate because Furphy is who guys thought timby would be.
This would give us 5 guys who all can score it and semi defend
The bench is Elmarko and Parker…in the tourney 7 is plenty deep

I think synergy wise I’d rather bank on furphy’s shooting instead of trusting KJ on anything outside the paint. Way higher ceiling

Well if what people are saying is true – ESPN loves this, they want to se KU get beat for viewership, other fans want to see us lose – that’s why ESPN scheduling KU on consecutive Sat /Mondays – screw ESPN ratings for viewership’s. - Curious wonder how many other BIG 12 teams have had to do this – Houston ? - -Baylor ? - -Iowa St – pssst please those clown are lucky t get a Big Monday on ESPN period little lone back to back.

Totally agree bud. Hunts been battling a knee thing. This stretch is perfectly timed. Only one game between now and the 24th.

Self is losing his shit way more frequently this season. That’s also getting embarrassing. Bark all you want at the crap roster you created, not at the refs. Not their fault.
I’m almost wondering if we should be worrying about Self. Sacrilege, I know.

Playing Harris 36 minutes in a game that they lose by near 30 with a bum leg is not a smart decision. Billy getting a bit stubborn again and not helping the cause of getting guys right. I just don’t understand him sometimes

Hunter is a true post scorer. He has lost confidence in his three point shot but we need him to get over that. Kevin is a volume shooter with a decent percentage from the floor overall but prone to cold spells along with the hot spells. KJ scores as he always has and can come up with 15 on nights he makes all the two footers. Juan is more and more figuring out the off the backboard layups and yes treys. Johnny is an athletic scorer from deep, on the break and in the paint. Nick has a good looking stroke and likes to posterize anyone at any time. Elm can score from anywhere and is a very good midranger.

Ok. to me it just seems like he’s been ranting and raving up the sidelines more than usual, acquiring technicals. Coaches and players holding him back. I don’t keep track over the years of his techs, but both the ranting and techs seem to be more than usual. That’s all.

I’d be interested to see the amount of fouls called in KU road games compared to home games. It feels like a lot of low foul games when we are on the road and just getting mugged up and down the court but that could be recency bias.

Self has plugged a lot of leaks this year which has kept any info off the rumor mill

Down 9 at half we still had a shot but once it was 18 pt deficit it was clear they had given up

How many doinks or that annoying shattering rim sounds did we offer up? That is why we lost I mean they shot lights out and didn’t hit the 80 mark. We can expect better from our three PG, SF and C. Hunter can do better than at the rim air balls. Surely he is practicing treys.
We are as thin as a wafer any way you turn it.
