Say Goodnight to the Knights

Some fans , now haven’t seen it here but, some thought the sky was falling with bean going to have to be our QB today. Your right Bean has proven himself, that Texas game well that was Texas this year, a really dam good team. Stour and mean Stout defense.
I was worried more I’ll admit when I see Plumlee coming back to start against us vs Bean - -you might know they get their starting QB back and we lose ours BUT seen a stat comparison and when it’s all said and done Bean/Plumlee pretty much a wash. - Both completing about 64 % of their passes - -Plumlee runs the ball for a little more average like - - 68 yds per to Jason’s 43 - the one thing I noticed looks like Plumlee a little more careless with the ball when throwing - -His INT ratio is quite a bit higher then Jason
They talked about how UCF’S secondary are undersized like I think 6 ft and like 205 - - -210 - even the D-Line not that big. UCF has problems against the run. - -So KU needs to run , run , run With Devin , Daniel & McDuffie until they prove they can stop it. - -They do have a couple of pretty good DB’S so probably not challenge them a lot.
KU’S problem with UCF is they are quick/fast , really good speed. - -Important we can string out plays - -get some TFL’S- It said they like to attack slow linebackers -which don’t really think our line backer’s are that slow. Yet they like to throw intermediate route pass’s - Another wash is Plumlee pass attempts average I think was 7.9 yds per - -Jason is actually a little better - like right about 9.
I just hope the fans show - -the fans stay - our fans are loud.- -Need to let them know where they are. - – I think in the end going to be a good day - well hopefully lol - -I think we got this 38 - -34

Just remember to write Central Florida, not UCF!

Just saw a clip of the infamous 5th down game when Colorado spiked it on 1st down, ran two run plays, on 4th down spiked it again which fooled everyone and the Buffs scored on 5th down. It was against Missouri. Hilariously, Mizzou’s fans stormed the field thinking they’d gotten the stop on 5th down, started tearing down the goal posts even though apparently no one caught the refs glaring mistake.
-
I want to see the KU defense that dominated Illinois show up today; where in the hell have they been? A win today will take a complete game from both our offense and defense. I’d like to see KU run the ball the first couple of series to let Bean settle in. Oh how this season has changed: underdogs to Central Florida at home. Come on now.
-
The team goes as the QB goes. With Daniels this team could be special, just like when Reesing was QB. But it’s no different than any other team - the Chiefs would suck without Mahomes.
-
First, Bean cannot get hurt. Can you just imagine a Big 12 game without Daniels or Bean because of injuries. So, please don’t call QB runs unless it’s like Mahomes does it where he runs 10 yds and scoots out of bounds without being touched. We need the RBs to dominate on offense, then take some shots downfield after KU has established the run. On defense, Plumlee threw 2 INTs in both games he played this year. KU needs some INTs today, so the defensive line must put constant pressure on the QB. This is a must win!

Reading the rest of the story now, Missouri fans, some at least knew immediately that the extra down was awarded and were storming the field because they were mad. Some had violence on the mind and tried to take out a Colorado player but instead hit a cop, big oops. That Colorado player had told his coach it was third down even though the down marker said 2nd down and McCartney told him to “shut up and just play football”.

- Big 8 suspended 7 officials for the error but said they could not change the outcome of the game.

@Gorilla72 Thanks, I read this big long article about it.

Illinois is a bad team this year, lost 20-7 at home to Nebraska last night. UCF is a better team than that and has a very strong running attack. KU will have their hands full on defense and after last week, I’m not sure KU can stop a strong rushing attack yet.

The bigger question wil be will UCF be able to stop Ku run game, they have not stopped anyone running the ball yet – Ku should run , and run some more against them

Bean had a bad game against Texas but I truly believe he’ll be better moving forward. He’s a very good backup even if that didn’t show.
Is this UCF team better than Ok st was last year?

@wissox - I’m more of a YouTube guy.

Let’s go!
-
Good stop
-
We should run for 300+ today
-
I like the blue/crimson uniforms
-
Bean seems to always overthrow receivers. But at least KU got 3
-
Bean could have ran for the first there. Also had a TE wide open.
Good opening drive, though
-
Casey was open across the middle right on the goal line IMO
-
At least we came away with points.
-
Solid drive, but need 7’s instead of 3’s to win this one.
-
Good stop. Let’s put them away early
-
Daniels not on the sideline today?
-

-
These unis in that bright sunlight look like a bunch of dudes playing for the local psych ward where they escaped from. Do they even have numbers?!!
-
White Sox play by play guy Jason Benetti on the call. He’s one of the best in the business.
-
My youngest son is at game w/a bunch of buddies. They were w/all the bb players and he sends me a pic of him and Juan. Then he says mom I’m gonna FaceTime you. So I click on it and there’s KJ going hi mom. I was really embarrassed. My other son says mom why r u FaceTiming KJ?
-

-
Bean is gaining confidence!
-
Fellas came to play today. All Business
-
OL is feasting
-
I’m still pretty hype about Hishaw running that UCF dude over. That was filthy
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich glad he healed!
-
Anybody see mangino and mason in pregame? Saw a lil. Mangino looked pretty good.
-
Gus can’t keep Plumlee in there. He’s a sitting duck
-
@FarmerJayhawk goodness! It’s way too early, huh? I meant to come back.
-
@Crimsonorblue22 the poor guy can’t move. I don’t think he’s healthy enough to be out there
-
Hishaw just looks for guys to run over
-
Bean!
-
Please, please just keep running the ball
-
Kotelnicki is all in his bag
-
@FarmerJayhawk I added, to early to come back
-
Love these calls!
-
Who’s Andy Kotelnicki? I don’t even think the guy exists. Sounds like a made up name to me. Nothing to see here.
