@bskeet just as long as you’re watching!
It was really disappointing that they sucked the entire time I was in school.
Terry Allen years - not a lot to cheer about then either. At least I saw them beat OU in person. Been awhile.
-
Jalon Daniels 3 passing and 2 rushing TDs. Wow

We had one good year while I was there during the (first) Fambrough era with David Jaynes at QB. Went to the Liberty Bowl and lost to Lou Holtz’s NC State team.

Next 3 games are home games: Duke, Iowa St and TCU. Could KU be bowl eligible after the TCU game?
-
Does the win over an FCS team (Tenn. Tech) count toward wins to qualify for a bowl game?

Real possibility at this point
-
Really hope if not a sell out next Sat then really really close to it. Students show up big - - make some noise
-
Today was fun. The alumni tailgate sold out, KU’s visitor allotment of tickets sold out. It was loud and the rain didn’t drive people off. The fans were loud throughout the game. Obviously we were worried when UH went up 14-0 quickly, but the momentum shifted very quickly after the Logan interception. Daniels has become a very good QB and hopefully KU receives some votes in the polls this week.
-
@jayballer67 I believe the over/under on KU wins this year was 2.5. Looks like we have a winner - already!
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 Heard the chant loud and clear on TV! Good Job!

@Texas-Hawk-10 did you get hailed on?🫧🫧🫧🫧
It didn’t hail at the stadium. We went to the concourse when the downpour started and then back to our seats after KU’s first TD when the rain started letting up. It wasn’t even raining hard when the lightning delay began.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 they said it was hailing and it looked like it. It was pouring. Weird!
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 they said it was within 4 miles(️️) so they had to delay it. I have friends that were at the ksu game last weekend when they had to take shelter. They were packed in there. Monday he tested + for covid and his wife was + on Tues. Both took paxlovid, mostly stuffy head colds. They are certain it was from that game.

The 2-0 Hawks are 8.5 dawgs at Houston this weekend.
This was always one of the games on the schedule that was winnable, but I thought unlikely to be a win at the beginning of the season. A 12-2 Houston team from a year ago returning their starting QB who threw for 30 TDs was always going to be a challenge.
But dare I say this game looks more winnable now than before? They struggled to score against a TTU team that nobody expects to be very good. While Tune has still be okay so far, they haven’t ran the ball well enough to help him. And their defense has allowed a ton of yards.
I honestly think that as long as we get a similar performance from Daniels and Co. this week that this game is a win. We may honestly have one of the best OL in the country. And so I expect the offense to keep the wheels turning with some level of consistency. If the defense can get early stops, I really think we can start this season 3-0 coming into a 3-game home stand.
Prediction: KU 42 - HOU 31
Nice prediction!! I’ve had some super busy weekends and once again wasn’t able to watch unfortunately. But I hope to catch some games later which probably means then they’ll start losing games again!!

What a change from last year to see our leading tacklers being linebackers and defensive ends, not dbacks. Total tackles: Rich Miller, 9; Craig Young, 7; Lonnie Phelps, 5; Lorenzo McCaskill, 4; and Hayden Hatcher, 4. No longer does Kenny Logan have to do it all by himself. Yesterday he had 5 tackles. I thought the defense took a big step forward yesterday.
