Imagine!

  • Imagine if Wilt had been allowed to play as a freshman? Another chance at a KU title?

Imagine if Raef’s 3 had found the bottom of the net. Would the most talented KU team have defeated Arizona in OT and gone on to win Roys first?

Imagine if Dr. James Naismith had put the hoop 8 feet high instead of 10?

Imagine if Danny had the possibility of being a OAD?

Imagine Archie Marshall doesn’t get hurt during the FF game against Duke in '86. Does KU win it all and Danny goes pro?

Imagine if Larry Brown doesn’t cheat, do we get Roy?

Imagine if the ref correctly rules JoJo doesn’t step out of bounds, are we the team to play Texas Western’s foil in Glory Road?

Imagine if tuition at the University of Wisconsin was in line with KU’s, I wouldn’t be writing this right now because I’d have gone to Madison instead.

Imagine if Drew Gooden stays around 1 more year, does Roy leave Lawrence on top?

Imagine if the Big 8 had remained would we have missed the Kevin Durant show in AFH?

Imagine if our guys had kept their composure in 2013, could we have beaten Louisville or would the refs favor them against us too?

Imagine if Covid doesn’t happen does KU win in 2020?

Imagine if Covid doesn’t happen do we miss Remy Martin coming here and helping us win the whole darn thing?

Imagine if the refs don’t call a loose ball fall on Devante Graham in 2016 against Villanova, do we win that game and win it all?

Imagine if (this will blow your minds) student athletes in NCAAB stay at their original school mostly for 4 years. Imagine Joel and Andrew sticking around town for 4 years.

Imagine if east coast bias didn’t exist.

Imagine if ESPN allotted 2:15 for their games instead of 2:00.

    Imagine if Fran liked KU.

Imagine if Jayhawks were not mythical creatures.

Imagine if KU’s football stadium was at the top of the hill and the view out the end zone was spectacular?

Imagine if the view out the windows in Watson library to the SW weren’t stunning.

Imagine if AFH was deemed unprofitable and torn down for something ‘modern’?

Imagine if Missouri wasn’t a slave state.

Imagine if Ayton had come to KU or Zion

Imagine if Al Gore had not invented the internet and @approxinfinity had not known how to manipulate it to our benefit?

Imagine if @BShark and @Kcmatt7 didn’t pay attention to every twit ever tweeting about anything remotely relating to who’s coming to KU?

Imagine if @drgnslayr wasn’t born with an eternal optimism?

Imagine if everyones sister @Crimsonorblue22 didn’t master brilliant responses in 3 words or less?

Imagine if @mayjay2 or is it @mayjay wasn’t a brilliant legal mind and we were all allowed to rant and froth with our conspiracy theories?

Imagine if so many others didn’t keep it light and lively?

Imagine if the length of this post blows up the internet?

Imagine if the Hokey Pokey really is what it’s all about?

Imagine if Trump was a raving lunatic on the left instead of the right?

Imagine if Kentucky didn’t give up the title for most wins during our NC run?

Imagine if Wayne Simiens shoulder wasn’t hurt in 2003?

Imagine if Jerrod Hasse’s shooting wrist wasn’t seriously hurt before we faced Arizona in 97?

Imagine if we’d just made four more FT’s against Syracuse or McNamara had made just 1 less 3?

Imagine if Scheyer is a bust at Duke and the program sinks into mediocrity?

Imagine if KU joins the BIG.

Imagine if KState elevates their hoops program into a worthy rival for us.

Imagine if @BeddieKU23 didn’t have a brilliant hoops mind for x’s and o’s.

Imagine if I ran out of words to say. I think I just did, imagine that.

  • Imagine if Phog Allen wasn’t forced to retire and allowed to coach until he chose to retire. How more titles would KU have at that point because of what Allen could’ve achieved with Wilt?

  • @Texas-Hawk-10 Didn’t know that story, sounds interesting. Always been a bit of a mystery that Wilt didn’t win titles at KU as dominant as he was.

  • @wissox Imagine all the people living for today…

But to be clear, @mayjay2 and @mayjay (working secretly together) only stomp out conspiracy theories to save you all from disincorporating all day long. Wanna keep you all around so I get to keep reading great posts like these!

  • You mean the hokey pokey isn’t what it’s all about! I have been living my life all wrong in that case.

  • Imagine if Kevin McCullar was a much better player than anyone realizes…It basically starts at 1:00-

  • Imagine Kevin McCullar playing on a team that had an actual point guard. Ask CB, Jalen, and Ochai what it’s like playing on a team that has no point guard. How did that work out? Uh huh…

Look no further than Marcus Garrett!

    Yes sir.

  • @Jethro

Obviously… I am a believer in McCullar and what he brings to the table… especially on a team with a legit PG!

I can see him bullying for positioning in the paint against weak defenders and Juan finding him. I imagine he can set one heck of a ball screen and we feast on that, including pick and rolls where he gets the pass in the paint and finishes. I can see Self building offense around a player like him who has the physicality we’ve NEVER had at guard.

  • @drgnslayr The concern about outside shooting with this team is a legitimate issue. The players likely to start at the 3 and 5 spots appear to best shooters among the projected starters, Yesufu could be in the mix too depending on how crafts the line up. If the starting line up ends up being Harris, McCullar, Dick, Wilson/Rice/Adams, and Clemence, I’d expect defenses to guard the way they did Harris last season by sagging off and taking away the driving lanes amd forcing KU to shoot outside shots.

BShark put up a video of his cutting abilities. The guy is fantastic w/o the ball in his hands! How many Zach feeds to a cutting McCullar will we see? How many Juando lobs to a wide open McCullar will we see? Dude also attacks and dishes, and plays tremendous perimeter defense. I’m stoked about the dude.

  • @Jethro I’m just drooling about the NIL possibilities. The McCullar burger at McDonalds.

The perfect NIL deal is with Culvers. Ha!

  • @Texas-Hawk-10

I’m concerned with outside shooting, too. But I also see what McCullar brings in known areas and I’m not convinced he won’t shoot a respectable % from trey in our lineup.

I don’t think we need such a high-power offense as we had this year if we have elite defense. He’s a huge step forward with our defense.

I don’t disagree that the defense should be improved next season, but at the same time, the offense is shaping up like one of those offenses that tends to have long stretches of struggling to score and underachieving in March when they run up against another top defensive team.

  • @BShark wait Jarrett Mcculver is transfering to KU from Texas Tech?

  • @Texas-Hawk-10

I agree. I hope our new guys embrace the need to keep the rock moving on offense. This past year was sure fun to watch our offense always in motion!
