It's March!!!!!!!!
-
Start of the best month in sports. Even better if we win the whole thing!
-
What kind of team do we want to avoid or face in the post season? Mobile bigs seem to be a challenge.
-
Big guards are a problem.
-
Real athletic team - say like Kentucky and or Big mobile Athletic big men
-
Maybe just big PGs are a problem for Harris? Och and Braun (and Wilson) have good size.
I think Big 12 play has somewhat toughened these guys up this year.
We just need to have an answer or two for when teams try to shut down Och.
-
Tall athletic 4’s and 5’s
-
Refs that don’t call fouls, refs that call fouls
-
Honestly I’m more worried about our own team.
Harris has to score. He cannot play 30+ minutes with goose eggs.
Wilson has to rebound. He didn’t compete in the Baylor game on the boards. It’s a big deal because it often fuels his offense.
David has to stay on the floor & healthy. He only plays slightly north of 50% of minutes in a game on average. That’s just not going to get it done in March.
Ochai we need every bit of your 20 ppg and more. Need him to get the ball in pressure situations and make plays.
CB we need all of your inside/out game and rebounding + your swagger.
The bench- just has to contribute and minimize the drop off from the 5 starters. They are too hit or miss.
-
Harris has been thu the ringer on this board. Agreed that you can’t have any empty presence on offense. I Was inspired a few games back when he made some floaters and was forced to score. Doesn’t happen often enough.
I think Wilson and Braun are very important. When one of those two has a dud, it really puts the pressure on Och.
-
I’m okay if Harris doesn’t score as long as he has 5+ assists. All added steals are a plus!
We’ve got to have enough defense to force more misses we can rebound and run.
And we HAVE to have team rebounding to control possession count and get out and run.
Limit turnovers… 10 or lower will win most games.
Run, run, run!
-
Any one who can get to the rim and cause Dave trouble.
-
It would be great to see DaJ and JW hit some treys. Both of them can score around the rim plus CB they all can do the Tyshawn and drive a bit wide and bank in away from bigs.
-
Tyshawn played pro for my old team in Saigon.

Travis Releford is playing in Cyprus right now. I would have gone to like 10 games if he had been there while I lived there.
