HAPPY For Dok

  • Finally, the NBA got one right with Dok in the first round. What an incredible transition Dok made while at KU. He’s a completely different athlete than when he arrived. The Jazz is a great fit for him and I hope he has a 10 year career like our man, Greg Ostertag.

  • Dole worked his ass off to get there.

Anyone who has ever been as heavy as him has no idea how hard you have to work to lose that kind of weight and keep it off.

    Super proud of that dude.

  • So happy for him! Doke’s a legend in my mind

I was talking to a buddy last night. I think his senior season gets him in the rafters now as B12 POY

  • To do what he did, no family around, his dad dying young, injuries, such hardships!

That’s a tough one. If the season had ended the way most of us were hoping it would have been a no brainer

  • @BeddieKU23

I would think the NCAA record 74.9% career FG shooting would put him up there. It’s tough to break an all-time record. I know that’s not part of the criteria for rafter-ship, but it probably should be. I think he gets up there when all is said and done.

  • Oh, and recs for everyone on this thread!

I don’t disagree there. I really do think the lack of the tournament robbed him of his shining moment in front of everyone. I’ve gone back and watched some of his big games last year and it’s really amazing to see how dominant he was, as dominant as any big Self has had.

  • Dok may be one of the most unbelievable athletes we’ve had at KU. 37 inch standing vertical and 43.5 inch max vertical. For a guy that big. And, he’s what, 21 years old? He’s 7 feet tall and hates to lose. If he can stay in shape, I think an NBA team will figure out how to use him.

I love 4-year guys anyway, but Dok and Frank Mason are my two favorite players in the last decade. When those kind of guys don’t start in the NBA… well, I guess that’s why I don’t watch.

  • Very thrilled for Doke! He’s worked hard and intelligently lifted so many areas of his game and his athleticism.

Wish Dot could just come back and play out his college career. I never thought he should leave, but understand the necessity to try to make a living as fast as possible because you never know when your playing days are up!

Just watched this clip, gave me goosebumps, wish him great success and fulfillment in professional career.

  • Mercy was that guy a STUD or what ? - -been a long time KU has had that type of player , domination - - -just so impressive , will be a long time before we have someone like that again.

Could you imagine if Doke would of had ANY kind of jumper -probably would of been a top 5 pick. Lol I remember watching his announcement when he pick KU to play, his dress attire kind of look like the high school nerdy type - - ol bow tie big like horn rim black glasses lol just goes to show don’t EVER judge a book by the cover.

Mercy miss this horse come on back for 4 more years Doke lol. - - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

  • @AsadZ 😢 one of Selfs best coaching games! Drew made zero adjustments

  • Yeah look at Self’s face, big smile at the end.
