Nike doesn’t own the trademark to the design. Just slap an Adidas logo on it and we’re good to go. Universities always keep their branding close to the vest
-
Maybe we figure it will help get the NCAA to drop their case.
-
@FarmerJayhawk Wow, hearing Bob Davis and Max with the call really brings back the fondest memories. I no longer listen to the in-game radio broadcasts because I can’t ever get the radio and visual broadcast to sychronize. And, I don’t listen to very much of the current announcers anyway; too much dribble and BS. Not everything is changing for the better.

I had not considered that maybe the ESPN+ delay suited a strategic purpose; keen observation.

If Max was still on the radio you’d better believe I’d have that sucker cranked up. Hell I’d turn off the tv if it was distracting from Max!

@dylans Max was a once in a lifetime kind of radio guy. Well, guy period. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, insightful, enthusiastic (but just the right amount) - and he never disrespected the officials, coaches, opposing coaches, players - nobody. He was such a class act.
I honestly would not be surprised if even the brighter Missouri and K-State fans respected him.
-
@nuleafjhawk Had the good fortune of meeting him once. Wish I could’ve come up with better conversation, but I was a bit star struck.

I will never grow weary of seeing that Jacque Vaughn spin move thru the lane against UCLA. I was in the front row and he came right at me. That was the loudest I ever heard the Fieldhouse. What was your loudest moment in AF?

Related: The 97 and 98 teams are probably the most heartbroken I’ve been for KU teams. 03 isn’t too far off though. All those teams had a bunch of NBA guys that all stayed many years. College basketball will never be like that again.

KU didn’t switch to the trajan font uniforms until 2007-08 so there are Adidas uniforms with the Circus font on them as well.
