Miracle In The Fieldhouse
-
I’m dead.
-
@BShark Your ability to post comments while being not alive is still less miraculous than the W tonight.
-
@KirkIsMyHinrich Digital ghost?
-
-
Really rough night for KU haters. They thought this one was done.
-
I am officially out of nails to bite.
-
Speechless . . . almost. WOW!!!
BTW - what’s the over/under for “nail biters” over the remaining Conference and Big12 Conference Tourney schedule?
-
I’m not going to lie, I had my finger on the “off” button of the remote. But I heard Dukie V ragging on the KU fans who were leaving. I thought he was right, I’m going to watch the end of this train wreck if it gives me an ulcer or not. You cannot explain that ending. That is some serious juju/ mystique going on there. The Phog is real! Plus, we have Bill Self. That man is a genius is in late game situations. He is an expert at extending the game. Not taking anything away from the players, though. They made the plays at the end. All the credit to them.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk. We showed some real grit there the last 2-1/2 minutes, but frankly I wish they had played liked that throughout the game. Was a tough one to watch but never lost the faith. I thought we had blown our chance with so little time left and the 3’s not there. But never say never. At least we didn’t have to suffer with Aunt Fran but the hype for us losing two in a row was stomach turning. Frank still sounded sick in the post game on Sportscenter. Great conf. win and helps solidify #13KUMBB.

@ZIG Guilty here too. But decided to ride it all the way to a gut-wrenching loss. Bothered me to see fans leaving early, but I guess “that otta learn 'em!”
-
@ZIG Have no explanation for this- -the only thing is the way we ball hawked the last 2:45, and Devonte decided to take over, this just shows me another reason I believe Devonte is gone after this year, hit some monster shots, we just have toi have him keep aggressive. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@RockChalkinTexas Props to you man, sorry to say I had given up all hope, we looked SO bad for the game, I’m not worthy, but like you why did it have to come to that? - why couldn’t we be like that the entire game? I mean we had nothing going for 38 minutes and then BAM - -the Phog come alive. – - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
@jayballer54 Good point. But he needs to sustain that level of play, consistently, in order to maximize his draft potential. I think he’s disappeared at times this season… But tonight, who cares?! He was the man when we needed him most!..
and I’m sorry to do this, but I’m so hyped right now. I’m going to steal your tag line… ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY!!! Apologies if I messed it up or offended you
-
Most stupid question of the day…the reporter interviewing Frank court side after the game…did you watch the UConn women’s team win their 100 game in a row? really? You have just finished watching one of the best comebacks ever and you ask the game MVP about women’s basketball? Dang, I miss Holly Rowe…
-
@JayHawkFanToo I was thinking the same thing. What a db question. ESPN is east coast they can’t see straight
-
Given that playing KU is every team’s Super Bowl, it seems fitting that we just had our Super Bowl moment.
-
@BShark same every game
-
@ZIG LOL, na, you didn’t offend me at all, I feel bad, real bad - cause I was so mad, hot, disappointed in the way we had played - -I’m not worthy, although still say they just showed why can’t we play like this, lie we did at the end more? - -It shows it shouldn’t have to come to this- -BUT what an ending. - -Reading the WV basketball boards this morning got to say comical - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY
-
me too, i’m not thrilled by my words during the game. But who could blame anyone that was mad at the way the game was going for 38 minutes. The worst win ever you could say
-
You just have to have faith and thrust thy Self…you will be correct 218 out of 228 times or 96% of the time.
-
I thought KU would lose last night, but I wasn’t ever ready to turn the game off. KU was still playing hard, and as long as they were playing hard, I was going to keep watching. It’s something I learned from watching the Royals over the last couple of playoff runs. They may not always come back, but as long as they are going to scratch and claw, I’m going to sit there and watch them battle, because something special might just happen anyway.
-
Only the dog and I were left watching; was thinking how beautiful our ginormous center court Jayhawk is and then…and then…and then…it’s good to be a Jayhawk.
-
@ZIG I understand Dickie V saying that about the fans…the reason that the sight of our fans streaming out with 3 mins. to go is news is that it never (or very rarely) happens. I started to disagree with him…fans can do whatever they want…doesn’t make them bad fans…just makes them fans that want to beat the traffic. We all have to admit that a comeback seemed highly unlikely. But as I thought about it after…if a lot more would have done that…we probably wouldn’t have won without the noise and excitement. .I probably would have been one of those that left my seat and then watched from the entry to the concourse. When we cut it to six I thought we finally had a chance…then I thought we blew it first when Devonte turned it over, and then 2nd when we fouled when we were down 3…didn’t seem like we needed to do that. But it worked out.
-
In all fairness, there really were not that many people leaving to make a big deal and those leaving were the ones siting in the 5 figure seats that are not really fans but posers showing off their money or corporate connections.
I believe a strongly worded letter from Zenger indicating that that type of display on prime time national TV is not acceptable is in order…yeah, right, like that is ever going to happen. Instead Zenger might black out a few more games so fans leaving the game early are not seen on national TV. SMH.
-
Our fans leave KU blowout wins early all the time, we just very rarely see KU on the wrong end of these situations at home. This really is a complete non-issue.
-
They were calling it the “Johnson County Exit” on the radio this morning.
