KU vs Trees: Revengeance
-
Svi has been money.
-
Looks like Baylor will get another big win
-
Svi for 3!
-
@wissox It ain’t over yet. Refs still have a say.
-
@BeddieKU23 Baylor’s lead ballooned in a hurry.
-
I’ve seen so much of these refs I could pick them out of a police lineup.
-
All these crap calls and still a blowout.
-
Just too good
-
Graham hasn’t scored this half. Not that we’ve needed it.
-
@tundrahok He’s letting Svi have some 3’s.
-
Had to get Svi some buckets too.
-
Pad those stats mason
-
What a pass josh
-
I wanna see Tyler hit another 3!
-
Have a good day fellow friends!! Good win
-
Amazing. Travis is 19-22 FT and only has 2 PF’s.
-
45th home game win streak dude.
-
Revengeance complete.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 I really think we have the worst scrubs in the country - nice guys, but none capable of scoring - they look like HS guys out there. Our blow-out game margins are never as large as they could be, because the other teams end of bench guys always out score ours…
-
Haase with his first loss in AFH
-
7-1 and probably move up a couple of spots in the AP Monday. You all have a good night.
Baylor won by 15? Xavier must have pooped out at the end.
-
@BShark yeah, they closed the rebounding margin. Bragg and Lucas really had a couple Big Boy rebounds later on.

HAHAHAHA!!! No kidding right!?!?

Walk-on quality should improve next year (another Teahan). But yeah, Self knows it and definitely won’t put those guys in there too early.
-
@DCHawker I don’t care. I hope we play Self, Vang, and Young every game because that means KU blew somebody out. I don’t care if the margin closes a little at the end because of that.
-
@DCHawker I cringe when the word “scrubs” is applied to our bench. Those guys bust their butts as hard as anybody in practice so we can put a quality team on the floor. They don’t deserve that moniker.
-
@Texas-Hawk-10 I hope we play those 3 guys at RUPP
-
Xavier did almost lose to Missouri so we know they have garbage level game in em.
-
Should have had a little graphic counter for how many times the broadcasters said floor burns. Bet it was over 25.
-
@BShark We should’ve done shots for “floor burns.”
-
We’d be dead.
-
Have not been impressed with Xavier the last few years. Not a legit top ten team
-
@BShark Yah, I mean it was cool at first but after the 5th time i was kinda getting sick of it.
Shaking my damm head
-
i started drinking heady topper to deal with Fran
-
I thought Carlton did a better job of putting himself in positions to score. Sometimes, he just roams around the perimeter or rolls into the paint on a pick and roll. A couple times he rolled wider like Perry did and made a jumper. Also had a good post move. Need more of that
-
How many free throws did Stanford get to shoot? The only things that kept Stanford in the game were Travis’s 29 and 30+ free throws.
-
@stoptheflop 30-37 and Travis went 19-22.
-
@BShark Nah, just asleep…
-
Last post about the refs in this game I promise…
Reid was literally doing lots of the same stuff Lucas was being called for just about every time before he got the ball. It was a foul on Lucas frequently, but never on Reid. Totally friggin bogus and skewed this game even though the good guys won it going away.
-
agreed! its frustrating watching the refs call the game this way. clear bias
-
@BShark Post away Shark. No penalty here for bashing the refs.
-
@stoptheflop We were 13-22 FT’s. One better than our 3PT, 12-22.
-
@brooksmd Don’t intend for it to be demeaning - the perhaps generic term used for the end of bench guys who only get in in the blow out games. I have no doubt that ours and other teams’ help make the starters better…
-
For sure, I’m just so off of it now. Putting it to rest. Should have a nice easy game up next against the Roos.
-
I suppose it could mess with statistic stuff, but we know what’s up.
-
@BShark IMO Lucas has steadly been getting a bad rep from not only zebras, but our own rats too. He’s not even a guy that would get any min at KU if we had other normal (for Bill) options, but we don’t. But he IS a decent role player who is aware of what he needs to do in a Self system, which in all fairness to LL, is quite diff this year than any I recall in any year since HCBS has been here. Has Self ever had a 4 guard O here before? I think all our 4’s & 5’s will get better going forward & are going to play well enough that it will take a lot more than a great 4 or 5 to take us out. Look at our 4 or 5 top guards defensively & I’m not sure there are more than a half dozen teams in the nation that can outscore us-period. Maybe a UK or Duke or NC, but not many can play defensively at the speed we can on O. Time will tell but the only thing holding us back is us…& the limitation of speed from our bigs.
-
@globaljaybird our big guys were better today. As we have been going through the year, certain areas have been improving. First it was rebounding, now that is better. Then it was three point shooting, now everybody is on fire. The last and biggest challenge is getting smart play from the Big guys. Took a step forward today
-
We did get out rebounded today by 8 i think? Most of our bigs were in foul trouble. That kid from Stanford scored 27? Dude’s good.
BUt, Yah I mean I still have reason to believe Coach Self will get our bigs where they need to be by conference, most importantly by late March.
Lucas and Bragg and Doka, despite foul trouble, had some huge big boy blocks and rebounds.
Bragg diving on the floor to save the ball!!! That was all hustle. That impressed the stuff out of me!
-
@brooksmd I had to look at the box score to understand what you were posting. Travis only scored 10 points from the field and 19 from the free throw line. Does anyone know which conference the officials were from? Quite a few of the fouls in the paint were touch fouls. It reminds me of the tighter calls at the beginning of last year on the guards.

Here is the Lattin flop for everyone’s viewing pleasure.
