  Personally my favorites were Paul Splitorf with Fred White (RIP) doin the Big 12. Also if Ron Franklin had been able to keep either his hands or inappropriate comments away from the ladies might he still be there too - who knows ? Split & Fred were my guys, but that’s prefaced by their Kansas City Royals pedigrees. Absolutely top of the line. IMO none more professional or prepared behind the mic. My most fav FB & BB guy now has gotta be K Harlan hands down. Another guy from the metro that still lives there & is always prepared to the max. Now at espn, even Max K & Stephan A get primetime gigs when they sound & act like they have might have 9th grade educations. Somehow when I listen to big loudmouth guys calling sports, I’m thinkin Chris Schenkel, Curt Gowdy, & Kieth Jackson, are finally admitting to each other that Cosell wasn’t really that bad after all…JMO

  Man. Beautiful story on Josh Jackson. Got to really give recognition here to the parenting he got. It is the difference-maker in any young life. I hate the OAD rule even more now. Would love to have Josh for > 1yr, if at all possible…

  @HawkChamp I wasn’t really making a point. Just putting information out there. And I felt like Duke was the best comparison based on their personnel last season at the 4 and 5. Personally, I think we will see this offense really come together down the stretch as long as we stay healthy. We just can’t panic while we are waiting for progression from several of our players. Josh - Speed of the game will be something that comes easier to him as we continue to play. I expect him to get much better as the season goes on. A couple upper 20 point games that he just dominates. Udoka - Same thing mostly. Speed of the game is a lot to handle probably. Once he gets to where he can play 15+ mpg we should really start to take off. Vick - He needs to learn what his role is. Most likely it will be just to hit 3s and create turnovers and NOT turn the ball over himself. Bragg - Can he push himself to become a dominant rebounder that a 6’11 guy that is as athletic as he is should be? Something tells me we will get him there.

  I think Jaybate has a point with “Not to worry about Bragg. He was destined to suck for half a season, while he figures out the new body he is inhabiting.” Bragg has grown in both height and muscle, I went through that as a runner and I promise you it will totally throw you out of rhythm. Add to that the hype and pressure to compete for a starting spot it is easy to believe he is sped up. Self comment that he is in a funk but is a good player adds to that theory. Of course the toughening box is there to get his mind and body back on the same page. Just have to wonder how long it will take. My breakout player is Vick. Svi will be great don’t get me wrong but after I spent a weekend at a camp with some of the guys I have felt Vick has improved the most.
