@rockchalkjayhawk well, it's not like we're UCONN , Michigan or Duke. We're just Kansas.

If I was still looking at this thread I'd say that is beautiful. But I'm not, so I didn't see anything.

RE: KU ROSTER 2026-27
I'm stoked to have a can't miss player. A potential first NBA draft pick who can lead us to an 11 loss season and a first weekend exit in the NCAA Tournament. Oh wait - we've already done that...

@JoJoAndMe or in the case of basketball you can't win even with great talent.

RE: Nature
I lived in Austin in 1978 and visited Barton Springs regularly. It had absolutely nothing to do with the girls that would frequently sunbathe topless.
My reputation as an a-hole wasn't helped by the fact that I would tell out of town visitors that Barton Springs was Texas' only natural hot springs.

@mayjay Missouri doesn't have enough money to lure me there in any capacity. Muck Fizzou.

Who would want Tiller? He obviously has no desire to go to a Final Four.

RE: 2026 Recruiting
Ok. Everyone listen up. Once in a while I come up with a doozy. Prepare to be doozied.
Screw recruiting. Screw the portal. For the starting 5, pick a random name from the Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific time zone and then pick the next person that stumbles into Quick Trip after midnight on April 27th - there's your lineup. Makes no difference what age or sex they are. Then KU can save money on embroidering - just leave the uniforms blank. Nobody knows or cares where they are and they sure as hell won't be back next season.

RE: 2026 Transfer Portal Chaos/Madness Thread
@mayjay Did you know that people actually live there? Of their own free will? I couldn't believe it either.

RE: Nature
My son won a photography contest with this a few years back. They used it in a calendar.

Made For March
I hate that I feel the need to justify my posts and attitudes but here we go.
There is an excellent docuseries on Paramount + called Made For March. I've only seen the first two episodes so far, but it's very informative and very well done. It follows Kansas and Michigan through the past season. Please watch if you are able.
In the first episode, at around the 8:45 mark, Bill Self says what I've been saying for a while. (Paraphrase) That Kansas now is not the Kansas that everyone is used to. He says the past two seasons (ending 2025 and 2024) were the worst since he's been in Lawrence. He emphasized "We haven't been in the game! " The narrator goes on to say that they were the worst two seasons in the past 40 years.
Anyway, watching this show is softening some of my hard edges, but I, personally was glad to see that segment with Self.
