This morning my family and friends were eating at a Corner Cafe restaurant in Kansas City, MO and an older African-American gentleman walked by our table, looked out a window and then walked back by us. He was 6' 3" or so and I'd noticed he was wearing a Super Bowl ring and an NFL jacket. One of the (unbashful) girls in our group jumped up and asked who he was. It was very loud Iin there and we couldn't hear clearly but it sounded like he had been with the Cardinals and was in the Hall of Fame. We spent an hour unsuccessfully trying to figure out who he was but never really did. But it was an interesting way to start the day!

@kjayhawks2.0 The announcers have been very complimentary of him. They say he looks very mature, not easily rattled, etc. Seems like he's doing well for an undrafted free agent.

@kjayhawks2.0 his stats weren't great but he had at least 6 passes directly in the hands of the receivers that just flat out weren't caught.

I don't know what's sadder, the fact that we've lost 18 in a row to KSU or the fact that we still lead the all time series.

Thank God I've only wasted 25 minutes of my day watching this dumpster fire team. I love seeing them penalize themselves into snatching defeat from the jaws of victory week after week.

@kjayhawks2.0 WHAT??? Darnold is a great QB. He just doesn't usually throw to his own teammates.

@JoJoAndMe I think Marshall is WAY better than average. He just doesn't have enough experience yet. If he stayed here 6 years (lol) his numbers would far exceed those of the current Tampa Bay starting QB

I'm usually the Negative Nellie here so I'm not sure what to think. The game I watched had Marshall throwing for 330+ yards and we were about 3 or 4 stupid penalties and a couple of boneheaded play calls from beating one of the best teams in the country on their home turf.

Where can I watch?

If Marshall ever learns to pass instead of throw things could get pretty interesting

@JoJoAndMe in KU language, "competitive" means we don't get spanked quite as bad as we used to.

K-State is 3-0. We're 1-2 with no hope of winning another game. It's comforting to know that some things never change.

@rockchalkjayhawk Same could be said about K-State or Mizzou. Ya hate who ya hate. Hopefully just in sports

@kjayhawks2.0 I'm through with football and I'll admit that I whine a lot during basketball season but a bad BB season for us is better than most teams best season. Ever.

Every frickin year at the beginning of football season I am like THIS IS IT! THIS IS OUR YEAR. We're going to win 9 games and humiliate K-State. Every damn year.

Then by halftime of the first game against The Oklahoma School of Horseshoeing I realize we're still the same crap team we've always been and always will be. Basketball can't get here soon enough.

@JoJoAndMe you're very optimistic. The way it looks to me right now it's a one win season.
