@drgnslayr recall that when Flory was shopping around (rightfully so) and most of our roster was in flux DP presented an unshakeable front about coming to KU saying Bill had nothing to worry about. Flory decided to return, a conscious choice that he wanted to be here, and genuinely looks like he is having fun. As the faces of the program and also the most talented players, they are core to this teams identity. I also give Vaughn a lot of credit. The players seem to be playing with less pressure and more joy. I think Vaughn is the x factor. You cant have your highest paid players be the least athletic or the biggest headcase on the team. This team is structured correctly in a way the guys can feel good and play for each other.
