Another stat from Creighton:
Tre White's 23 points vs Houston was his 4th 20+ point game of the season for the #Jayhawks.
These notable #KUbball players also had 4 career 20+ point games:
Elijah Johnson
Jacque Vaughn
Rick Calloway
Travis Releford
Xavier Henry -
@RockChalkinTexas-0 How many did Wilt have?
-
How in the hell is Self's KU 41-0 on Big Mondays? I have been told that the top four seeded teams get a double bye in the conference tourney. We can only lose one more game to be 13-5. With 5 teams currently 11-4.
Watching TXA&M Rylan Griffen playing like he did year before last 14ppg rebounding and steals. Zach Clemence still sucks. -
Arizona & Houston are basically locks to be in the Top 4 IMO so its basically who wins or who loses between us and Iowa St.
-
@wissox83 Many! (He was the best college basketball player of all-time.)
-
@wissox83 Maybe that was before these records were started?
-
@wissox83 Trick question, huh?
@rockchalkintexas-0 BINGO!Wilt had zero 20+ point games his freshman year in Div 1 because he wasn't eligible. He averaged over 29 pts his soph year ('56-'57 when KU lost in final in 2 (3?) OT), and 30+ pts his junior year ('57-58, when KU didn’t make the tourney). No individual game box scores I could find, but he likely had more 20+ games than <20 games in his KU career.
-
@mayjay really would suck back in those days 57-58, KU went 18-5 (5 losses by combined 16 points) beat the number 1 ranked team in the country on the road that season but didn’t make the tournament. I believe only conference champions were eligible back then, was only 24 teams. If they had a shot clock back then Wilt would’ve been undefeated in college, teams held the ball for literally minutes against him.

He was the best basketball player of all time. There fixed it for you. I don't know how anyone can put Wilt below anyone who ever played the game, except maybe Jordan.
-
@wissox83 Yes. Yes. Yes. I always ask the question: If you and a friend were going to pick the two best all-time basketball teams, and you had the first pick, would you pick Wilt or Jordan? No question. Wilt was literally an athletic freak at 7'1". He could dominate the game however he wanted to- points, rebounds or assists. Russell is only mentioned because he had a great team around him for many years. Wilt, had a good team around him once. I can say all this because I am fortunate to have seen him play!
-
@JoJoAndMe Wow, saw Wilt! I guess my 8 year old self, had I been prescient enough to see the future could have demanded my parents to take me to MSG to see Wilt when he played the Knicks because you know, some day I'll attend Kansas, and must see the GOAT in person!
